Put that kind of stuff in your profile.

Freshen up your pics, get a good head shot. If you've "gained a few
pounds", just start hitting the gym again and get some new pics up when
you're more confident to show your body.

That's a good thign to spend a little time on. Ignore the photos and
read what other guys write in their profiles, just try to intuitively
sense which guys will garner more initial interest from women and try to
learn from those.

And one word said IN-correctly is sometimes all it takes to lose their
interest.

You sound like you have a lot going for you and you just need to find a
better way to relay that to women, in an online profile, than you have been.

I couldn't believe I was helping if I wasn't. I'm sure you got all the
right points & some of the suggestions from others were also good.
