It IS the path to get hot women without expending resources. That's what
Foxhunting is based on.
The efficiency of the method is causing it to gain traction as the
chest-pounding gurus are crowding each other out. This "game" is not being
run on Mars. Even those who don't read "the game" are going to adjust their
behavior based on their results, and if other guys are using game it will
filter down to them.
My primary sparring partner in chess rarely if ever plays against computers,
and doesn't use them to study the opening. Thiis doesn't mean computers
haven't affected his game, because his opponents are running his moves
through their computers and adjusting their game accordingly, which causes
him to adjust his game accordingly.
There were articles in the early 1980s about how Studio 54 was a dying shell
of itself and how the real scene had moved downtown to the punk rock clubs
that didn't have VIP ropes.
The media is reactive, if anything. Look at "The Game" coming out eight
years after the real change began right here in this group.
Doing NOTHING is going to appeal to many AFCs who the gurus themselves say
can't win the game unless they change. Perhaps they have decided simply not
to change and to say "fuck it," which the gurus also say results in getting
laid.
>In
> that fiction, the alpha boss is the obnoxious, overbearing fool who's

In Top Gun, the alpha was Tom Cruise.
In Reversal of Fortune, he was Jeremy Irons.
In the 007 movies, he sure wasn't an AFC.
>This isn't

They laugh last from their mansions.
> and the profitability of mass media entertainment depends on its

The same could be said for PUA advice, that it's geared more towards selling
product than getting results. A clueless AFC has no idea what can help him
out so he goes with what sounds good to him, even though this is what caused
his initial problem.
>Everybody loves to hate their asshole boss, or the
> aggressive guy that stole his girl and movies that shows those guys
> getting their hilarious comuppance will always be beloved by the
> masses.
Those guys do get their comeuppance, however, as a price for the risk they
take, even more so in the "postgame" era where every other guy in the bar is
running more or less the same game.
Another major difference is that now, if a hottie turns down an AFC, he
assumes she's a player-groupie slut, and doesn't blame himself. He just
doesn't waste resources playing a rigged game against some alpha who will
break rules to "win."
The foxhunter leaves it to the chick to eliminate the "alphas" or admit she
likes cheating jerks. Her reputation is paramount to her, so she will do
what she has to to protect it, which in turn affects her emotions, and her
decisions.
>In reality, the alpha boss fucks the hotties and never gets
> any comeuppance.
Does he? He often gets sued for sexual harassment, or he loses everything.
His wife can fleece him in divorce court, etc. The perpetual risks he has
to take to stay on top don't justify the diminishing rewards.
The classic beta in fiction was Richie Cunningham, while Fonzie was the
alpha who got "more chicks." Both men did fine with women, and neither had
to become something they weren't.
> As always, you're confusing movies & tv with a real life "movement".
This was an article that cited some fiction, but which was not a fictional
article. Given that tons of ASF terminology was lifted from Top Gun and
other movies, they can't go disclaiming that all of a sudden. Movies allow
us to analyze the personal lives of the characters without naming names, and
with using names that we all recognize.
> How about talking about something real, like the real effect of the
> massive proliferation of internet pornography on dating and
> relationships. Psst - it makes it alot easier to get women.
Internet porn makes it easier to get women? Perhaps. I wouldn't know
either way, maybe you would.
If the beta is disenfranchised, the alpha has no one to lead and therefore
cannot win.
