I'm not going to go further into your article because in general I
agree with what you have said and I think you're very close if not
dead-on right. I do believe it's been established that women are just
as sexual as men, and the main thing is that because women are more
vulnerable they are taught not to accept their sexuality. In the case
where a man & a woman have sex; his risk is a venereal disease. Her
risk is also that of possible pregnancy.

As has been pointed out to the Star Poster on this newsgroup - and
anyone who has to ask whom he is has not been here very long - if
women's sexuality wasn't as strong as mens, and if women weren't as
interested in sex as men are, Spring Break at Fort Lauderdale would
consist almost exclusively of a lot of horny guys and a very tiny
number of women, fought over by men, as opposed to the actual results:
about even numbers of men and women, almost all looking for casual
sex.

Your point that women at resort areas or on vacation still not wanting
to look like they are loose women - and all the pejorative names
surrounding them - is probably true EXCEPT that I suspect when you get
into the typical 'Spring Break' type of environment I believe the
women are just a little less protective of their 'honor' than they
would be when they're on vacation, and when they're on vacation they
are a little 'looser' than in their home environment. I think most of
them realize they're no where near home, if they screw a guy they
don't know, if they're out alone or if they are with some others, as
long as their girlfriends don't know about it (or are cool about it
because they've been doing the same thing) nobody is going to know
about it when they get home, and thus there is no long-term
repercussions (as long as she doesn't get a disease or pregnant).

I think the clear and obvious example of why women have raised shields
against men coming on to them is because they've been taught to do
that by their family or their environment, and is exemplified in this
scene from the movie "Teachers" where Judd Hirsh, as principal, is
telling Nick Nolte what would be the result if kids were not in
school:

"Did you ever think about what these kids would be doing if they
weren't in school?"
"No, what?"
"Fucking! Fucking like fucking little rabbits. Fucking their brains
out."
"So you're saying if it wasn't for teachers like me, they'd be out
fucking around all the time."
"Right."
"I'm a goddamn rubber."
"And a very good one, too."
