Ray to file debt-harassment lawsuit against several USENET Posters

The law is quite open-and-shut regarding what third parties can do when
attempting to collect a debt which is not theirs.

Whether or not they are being paid is not relevant, as that would create a
loophole large enough to drive a truck through.

Some creditors have gone to PRISON for attempting to draw public attention
to an alleged debtor.

These laws have more teeth than those violating them could ever imagine.
The law provides for STATUTORY DAMAGES (meaning no harm need be proven) of
up to $1,000.00 per violation.

As I've already asked several of the violators to cease, and they haven't,
it appears legal action is the only way they'll ever become convinced that
what they are doing is illegal, and they need to stop it.

Sad.

Ray, your debt is a matter of public record. You are not an alleged
debtor, a court of law established you as a debtor and in what
amount. This is not a private debt and your not paying it, either
willfully or because of your inability to pay it, without even
attempting to make reasonable alternative arrangements to a lump sum
payment, raises and answers questions about your ethics.

Have you paid Tom the amount he is owed as determined by a court? The
answer is no.

grp-ie:

No one here is forcing you to pay your debts, no one here
is 'collecting' your debt, people here just laugh at you
that you will NOT pay your debts. The below spew has
nothing to do with people here. Of course, you will learn
that when/if you file this k00kSuit. The question is:

Why don't you pay TG the money the court ordered you to pay?

Parker, you are so far in the closet you sleep on Xmas presents.

Yes, we have all been impressed at how your "Open-and-shut" lawsuits have
won you millions of dollars. That must be all those phantom settlements you
talk about. Of course, you know all about personal jurisdictional issues,
and you know that most of the people you are talking about are not within
the jurisdiction of the Court. So a Motion for Sanctions under Rule 11
should have considerable traction. Also, instead of just having it
dismissed, on a John Doe basis, what are you going to do when some bright
lad files Forum non conveniens, moves the suit to their home state, and
files a counter suit?

What ya gunna do then, GENIUS?

Better get your truck driving license in order, the loophole is there.

The FDCPA broadly defines a debt collector as "any person who uses any
instrumentality of interstate commerce or the mails in any business the
principal purpose of which is the collection of any debts...

Not at all.

In fact, I adapted it from Family Guy, their line was:

"..you are so far in the closet your finding Christmas presents.."

I'll never forget, grp-ie wanted to sue Fuz over a line on the show
Win Ben Stein's money. It was at the end, Ben was reading something,
and asked who wrote it. Jimmy K said the writers. Ben Stein said:

"They deserve to be shot, I'll buy the shells" (or something close to that)

And you notice that gordy roy parker of the fairfax dump parkers insists
in calling himself an 'alleged' debtor even when all ghod's children KNOW
that a real live judge has ordered him to pay that money.

Hey gordy roy newzloon, there ain't no 'alleged' about you being a debtor
unless you HAVE paid Tom the money you owe him. Of course, if you say you
have I will not believe it until you provide verifiable evidence or Tom
says you have paid him... after all, I know that you are a liar (I have the
posts with headers, gordy roy).
