Our boy, Gordon, is not only a legal genius, but he knows economics, too!

Thank God we have people who are deep thinkers and politically
active. With this stellar example to follow, the United States is in
good hands.

Let's see, for each barrel yields about 43 US gallons of distillates,
the products from crude, about as follows:

19.5 gal Gasoline
9.0 gal Fuel Oil
4.0 gal Jet Fuel
11.00 gal other products used in a variety of ways, such as plastics,
solvents, lubricants, etc.

That's just a break-down because it is interesting. Well, to me
anyway.

What Gordon's 100,000,000 barrel drawn down of the SOR (Strategic Oil
Reserves) amounts to is 5 days usage of crude by the United States.
Whew, and I thought the economy might have some real problems, but the
way Gordon has it worked out, this would drop the price of oil and the
government could buy it back at a deep discount and maybe make a
profit. Piece of cake!

If anyone other than Ray would have had that idea you wouldn't be
slamming them like this.

Yes, I know what he is, the NewsLoon, fr00t l00p, k00ks00t laywer and
whatever other names you have for him.

But...

Instead of looking for fault in what he writes, look at what he's
trying to say. He made a valid point in his post:
> ... The rainy day is here.

And in his follow up:
> Or when people have to go without food so they can drive to work.

Many low income Americans are facing difficult choices now. In order
to get to work to earn a paycheck they have to put gas in their car.
But gas prices keep going up while their pay remains the same. Each
time gas goes up so does the price of food. And winter, with it's cold
weather and high heating costs, is coming.

His idea about using the oil reserves was flawed but, IMO, what he was
trying to say is that the government should be doing something. And
they should.

No, it's not. It may be a fine mist but that is NOT a rainy day.

What about allowing offshore drilling for oil so we won't be as
dependent on foreign oil?

What about allowing drilling in Alaska for the same reason?

How about investing in renewable energy such as solar or wind power?

Will we lose any of our freedoms if the government did any of those
things?

This country has a lot more than two serious problems right now.

Don't forget that we are at war with enemies who don't wear uniforms.
Our soldiers aren't allowed to fight unless the enemy shoots first.

Then there's good ole NAFTA. Thanks to NAFTA I lost my last job when
it moved to Mexico.

Mexico. That's another big problem. All the illegals coming here and
the government doing nothing about it.

When Ray threatened a friend of mine with one of his k00k s00ts I
tried to find out who he was. I know nothing about him except what I
have read here and on other newsgroups.

Ok, now that I know I'll post accordingly.

What an excellent idea.

So the next time Jose is bleeding out of his ears, he'll avoid going to the
hospital and the rest of us will just have to hope it's not Ebola.

Last time I looked, infectious diseases and epidemics (you know, public
health issues) didn't ask about green cards or citizenships.

Have a friendly chat with the Philly PD, mental health clinic staffers and
court workers. The picture will begin to clear up.
