I go a university in Illinois and this past semester I had the chacne
of going to "seminar". Use the term loosely since the guy doing the
seminar was no where near a PUA. I was going to do this as a
freelance story for the college paper. He was Community Advisor in
the dorm and he decided to do a seminar on how to approach women. He
tired to get it done before Valentines day but he had to reschedule.
When he did it later he advertised for it poorly and change the time
just before it was going to happen. He was supposed to have a panel a
of women talking about what they want in a man but only two of the
four showed up. When it looked like people weren't going to show up,
I went out into the hallway to try and bring people into the seminar.
Finally, with the few people there the seminar began. This was a
problem. He based what to do and what not to do off of Will Smith
when he did the Fresh Prince of Bell Air!!! Will Smith doesn't even
want people to remember that show. Fortunately, he turned things over
to the panel of two women and they gave some decent advice. But with
only a two people in the audience there ws no way this could be a
story.
Why am I bringing this up? Simple. I want to do my own seminar.
I'm going to be a Community Advisor in the same dorm next fall. It's ...

Honestly, I think you're gonna crash & burn too. Your first problem is
already that the last guy didn't get a lot of interest in his seminar.
So why would you? Most people have a big problem admitting that they
aren't so good at attracting the opposite sex. So for what reason
bigger than that fear would and should they visit you. Think of
yourself when you were still that guy and ask yourself the question:
"What would I rather do? Go to a seminar like that with probably some
weak advice or go out with friends and get frustrated (or something else)?".
You said your goal was to do your own seminar. Why are limiting
yourself to teaching how to approach women? This is actually a great
chance to give an 'interesting' seminar, that will attract a lot of
people, that will in people's minds for a long time as a positive
experience. If people had a positive experience with you, they will
probably share it with other people, which creates your own world.
Are there any other seminars with good topics? How many people did
attend it? Is there a lot of fuzz going around about a seminar? What
topic could attract a large, nice audience which isn't already covered
by another seminar? ...?
You got to find the topic that gives you higher value.

Yeah, don't do it. Just because someone shits at doing something
doesn't mean it's a good idea to offer "just a hair above shit" value to
people based on the mere fact someone else did a shitty job at it.
Focus on your classes and get a regular job when you graduate.

And if you (OP) want to give a seminar on how to attract women then spend
a fair amount of time learning how to do it first. This is really NOT a
case of those who can do and those who can't teach... at least not
successfully.

Ooh someone doesn't like competition.
The VH-1 show was faked, tons of reports come in about gurus who can't do
shit in field, the customers sign confidentiality agreements that prohibit
negative reviews, and almost every board but this one is censored and
doesn't have an open advertiser policy, which reduces most of the sites to
little more than informercials.
The reason this occurs is that the customers don't demand free speech and
fair competition. Best distribution, not best product, wins out.
The gurus have a helpful voice for those who might pay them, and an abusive
one for those they have no use for. Total social-climbing.

Television is entertainment first. Reality shows are faked and scripted.
Television is not college or school or a learning tool. Get this through
your thick skull.

gordon roy parker, known liar and newzloon and tard and legal buffoon,

Prove it, liar.
Come on, gordy roy parker, you are a known liar. When you make statements
like the above quote you NEED to provide verifiable evidence of your
claim since everyone who has spent much time in this newsgroup KNOWS that
you are a liar.
If you do NOT provide that verfiable evidence then everyone KNOWS that
you are just lying again... probably just another excuse to spam your
spam sig across usenet again? Yeah, probably!

A one-off "seminar" at some unnamed school is competition?
Well, it's more competition than you are but so are my cats, and they're
neutered.
