Lead Singer Seduction!

Hey all!

Just throwing something out and hopefully can get some feedback or advice
from people.

There is a band coming into town in couple of weeks to play for one night.
I'm starting to get good results with girls at the moment, but this one has
me stumped and I am putting myself up to the challenge! A lead singer!

So my question is, what is the best possible way to get with the band after
the gig to work the magic and seduce the lead female singer? I'm guessing
social proof is one. Bribery of security perhaps? Start casing the venue now
and get in good with the owners? I know it definately isn't going to work by
being a 'crazed' fan. And I do have their album which I figure I could try
and get signed, considering I missed out on getting the special release
signed album!

I'm an actor, so I'm in the entertainment industry myself.

Be great to nut this one out with some people!

you could say you are a music writer with a rock and roll website
(website would probably be better, since if you say you are with a
magazine, newspaper you might get asked for legit press credentials.)

Ask if you can interview the band after the show.
you could even have some phony business cards printed up.

Contact the agent or whoever handles press for the band, and put those
skills to work.
If you are afraid you are gonna flub it, try to book an interview with
a band you dont really care about through their press manager, and see
how it goes, what kind of questions they'll ask, things you should be
ready to answer

break a leg.

Bouncers of today are too full of themselves, it used to be easier.

True story..google if ya care. The R/Stones play Sir Morgan's Cove
(a local band dive here in my town), as they were recording nearby,
and booked as the C/Roaches. Word gets out, street is blocked, I
want in. No ticket. Go to my local Hi-Fi (Sounds West, long gone)
and ask to borrow 2 sets of RCA cables. I head for the show.

Old school security guy sees me, and I say: "Band needs these now.."

Guy slaps a pass on my shirt, I walk in, toss the cords, and enjoy.

Great show..LongView Farms was the studio...

Right. Mind ya, you have to look WORKING, not 'ticket holder'.

M'Lady will have a good laugh, but here goes...

I'm going thru old pix, papers, etc to get a family DVD together, and I find
a stub to an old Harvard-Yale game. As I do with all my
OLDFARTDAYS<.con> shit, I bag/date/include notes. I remembered'edish well..

It's the only H/Y game I ever went to..easy to recall..

Jake n I have no tickets, but wanted in. He has this tape of Count Basie
doing "..Harvard Blues..". I can't remember why I am there doing this,
save out of the planets lin'in up, BUT..Jake starts yelling out loud:

"..CALL FOR Mr. RINEHART..!!!! OH !!! RINEHART !!!!!!!"

I'm looking at him like he's..well..off deep end..but then, all of
a sudden, we get about 20 people (mostly women) asking us the big ?:

"..have you seen Jimmy Rinehart..???.." Jake's reply:

"no..please tell him he has a Call waiting..for a long time now.."

Took them all 10 mins to stop laughing, get us inside, force booze
into us, and have a great time. Stub says Harvard won. Go Team.

It was the much later when I found this link. No idea where Jake
is, and I doubt either of us went to Harvard, but we AT ONCE were
accepted as "..one of them.." I knew I wasn't, my age alone proved
it, but..it was a hoot. Got me a 'Vincent' that night too....

Great guys, this is good stuff! i'm formulating a plan as we speak!

Figure I'll mock up a backstage pass to hang around my neck, get it
laminated and everything. Might go for the cable angle as well. Fortunately
on the venues website they have the names of the media organiser and the
manager, so I'll be sure to drop those names if there is any trouble!

I was beginning to self sabotage for a while there. But fuck it, what have
we got to lose? Honestly! The next issue is my friend who will be there! :)
But we'll sort that out on the night! Thanks for all the support!
