Actually Rabbi DMan, Purim started thursday at sundown, and lasts
through Friday at sundown. So Purim was not already finished in NZ
when I sent you my best regards. And have you never wished somebody
Happy New year on January 2? or Merry Christmas on December 26, or
December 20th for that matter? And further, depending on where you
live, Purim is either celebrated on the day you (and I) are
celebrating it, or the following day as Shusan Purim. If you live in a
city that was walled in during the time of Joshua, that is, because
the Book of Esther says that in Shushan (a walled city) deliverance
from the massacre planned by King Ahasuerus was not accomplished until
the next day.

I think it would also be appropriate that we tagged our resident
newzloon with the new nickname of "Haman" considering the Jewish
traditions associated with the mention of Haman, King Ahasuerus'
advisor. Any seconds?

I have no idea how big he is, usually the music I prefer is not
mainstream, so it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't extremely
"popular." I was asking if you had heard of him because you are a lot
younger than I and I was trying to guage from speaking directly with
somebody that lives in that part of the world if he was known to the
younger crowd as most of the "new" music that I listen to usually
attracts the college aged crowd. Also to kindo fo lay some common
ground between us. Both apparently were mistakes. ;-)

And regarding NZ and AUS being two different countries . . . uhhh, no
shit! I think I knew that. Don't you think though that given the
geographical proximity of one to the other that a popular form of
entertaiment in AUS would likely also be a popular form of
entertainment in NZ?? I would.

Don't be ignorant. Your statement is ridiculous. It doesn't even
appear as if you've ever listened to his music.

And you don't become an authority on a subject by "Googling it up" and
spending fifteen minutes reading into something. And why do you think
you speak for all your countrymen? Just because you're the only NZer
that *I* know doesn't make you the only NZer!

Oh, thanks for the history lesson.

Xavier Rudd has a foothold here in the US, and we don't have
aborigines here either. How do your comments above reconcile with
that?

And tell me something, do the people in NZ have the same kind of ears
as the people in AUS? Do they work the same way? How about as
compared to the kind of ears that the people of the US have? I think
we'll agree that all have ears, all hear music, and all function the
same way.

Your conclusion is unsupported by logic or fact. Sorry, just isn't.
