What's interesting is that earlier, Mr. Parker's challenges to the group
would be to see who could get married first.

Then he began making statements which showed him to be totally against
marriage, but okay with multiple long term sexual partners, unless they
were someone else's, in which case he was totally against MLTRs.

Since it appears that Mr. Parker is unable to sustain even the most
simple of romantic relationships for any substantial period of time, it
would make logical sense that he would get some relief (misunderstood by
him to be pleasure) out of hearing about the learning experiences of
others (misunderstood by him to be failures).
