I've never seduced a woman even once in my entire life.
I tried only once, and I failed that one time.
I was going good, I was getting her in the mood, both emotionally
(swooning) and physically (she let me touch her in more and more
private places and she let me undress her piece by piece), then
right after I got her shoes and pants off I said one thing wrong,
and she fell temporarily out of the mood. Instead of working to get
her back in the mood, I just gave up at that point, because I'm too
nice a guy to do any further seduction attempt at that point.

What inspired the above writing about a long-ago incident? I'm in
the middle of watching (for the second time) a really great episode
of "Cold Squad", the episode where:
- Mickey Kollander discovers a strange inconsistency between two
letters from one of the Ambleton inmates who later disappeared
and whose body was found years later, and upon consultation with
a writing expert it's revealed that most of the letters from
that point on were forgeries. But one was not; it had travel
directions to the "Love Shack" disguised as a list of her
favorite music to get past the person who had been destroying
her twice-per-week letters to her mother and replacing them with
forgeries.
- The troubled girl "Vanessa" whom Ali took on in the Big Sister
program, whose father Ali is getting feelings for, borrowed a
fingerprint kit, then let a schoolmate get ahold of it,
whereupon it went missing.
- Nicco is called to jail to talk to in inmate who announces that
he knows about Nicco's affair with 18-yr-old prostitute Billie
and will make the info pulblic and ruin Nicco's career unless
Nicco arranges to get the inmate out of jail, and so he tells
Billie what's happening and she says to let him out, because
it's sweet that he Nicco likes her but it's not worth ruining
his career over.
- Just as Ali and Vanessa's father were about to kiss and make up
after a small argument about him calling her "Babe" which made
her so upset (not yet sure of their relationship) that she said
it makes her want to "draw her weapon", as their lips were
closing to one inch apart, Ivan shows up and diverts Ali to case
out an auction of a famous historical document which had been
stolen from a museum and replaced by a forgery. Ivan and Ali
apparently had an affair the previous time they worked on a case
together, and he now wants to seduce her again just the same,
despite her new feelings for and involvement in Vanessa's
father. So right in the middle of discussing the case while
sitting in a restaurant having alcholic drinks, Ivan suddenly
catches her off guard by asking about Dan (Vanessa's father)
again, playing master seduction expert:
Ivan: So, tell me about this ... "Dan".
Ali: What is there to say?
Ivan: You say you care for him, yet he isn't here with you, why?
Ali: It's a good question
Ivan: When I found myself falling out love with my wife, I discoveed
something: I never really loved her in the first place.
I was too much of a coward to admit that.
Ali: Well, I'm not sure I'm ready to use the word yet.
Ivan: Maybe you never will be, with him.
Ali: Maybe I should go?
Ivan: Do you want to?
Ali: (pause) No.
Ivan: Then don't.
(Iva takes Ali's hand in both of his and starts carassing her hand.)
Ivan: I think of you often.
Ali: You've crossed my mind once or twice.
Ivan: Crossed your mind? Is that all?
(Ivan takes one hand off her hand to start carassing her bangs.)
Ivan: So when I cross your mind, what are you thinking about?
*** THE MOMENT OF SUCCESS HAPPENS HERE AS EVIDENCED BY WHAT IS NEXT:
Ali: I think we should be having this conversation somewhere else.
(Scene jumps to the view from inside an apartment as Ali and Ivan
are opening the door and coming in while already passionately
kissing, then while inside they are kissing and pawing each other
and getting into bed and ... COMMERCIAL BREAK ... scene next
morning as they wake up after spending the night together.)

So Ivan's expertise at seducing Ali, and my total failure to seduce
a certain gorgeously beautiful woman the one time I ever tried to
seduce somebody instead of just waiting until she invite me to have
sex, that comparison in seduction skills and also desire-to-seduce,
prompted me to compose the above description of my one attempt.

Conclusion, I'm too nice a guy to go ahead with a seduction attempt
if the gal turns even slightly cold in the middle.

Moral, nice guys like me finish last.
