Are you sure you're going to heaven?

Author: Anonymous

The Bible says that all we need is faith in Jesus Christ to
enter God's Kingdom in the hereafter. But Jesus also noted
that most people's level of faith did not amount to the size
of a mustard seed (Matt 17:20). And if you are lukewarm,
God promises to spew you out of His mouth (Rev 3:16).

Do you struggle with doubts? Is it hard to feel God's
invisible omnipresence in your life, especially during
a crisis of faith? Do you ever worry that when Judgement
Day comes, that God will look into your heart and see
that you weren't entirely convinced that He even existed?

I have always felt that the god of the bible is insane for punishing people
after death for not believing in him during life. I mean, he does not show
himself explicitely but the punishment for skeptism is eternal hell. Sounds
kind of extreme.

No.

Also, of all the fantastical places I've ever heard of, in story or
song, only ONE is a place where there is NO HOPE

They call it "Heaven."

And no, if it existed, I wouldn't wanna go.

Doesn't that mean that it really isn't you that's making the decision to
accept Grace? It sounds like you are brought to this state
unconsciously. If you aren't the one making the final, personal choice,
it doesn't sound like something acceptable to God. Besides, there is
something there that has CREEPY all over it.

So what if the "hypnosis session" resembles that scene in "A Clockwork
Orange"?

It's FAITH-BASED and that's spelled G-O-O-D.

Watch it, sinner, you're talking to a REVEREND.

Now go back and read the ENTIRE thread, child... it contains what we call
"context" and may help you understand better. But judging from your witty
response, I think it will just confuse you.

How many points for this one, folks? Double it for each follow up post?
