This FAQ is currently under ongoing changes. Please post a comment in

*** 3 second rule *** =
A rule/guideline that says you should wait no more than 3 seconds to
approach a woman or group of people. The reasoning is multi-part...
That
you will decide on a reason to not approach at all if you do not
immediately approach... That you will overthink your approach and end
up
too flustered if you take longer to approach... that the set will see
you
watchign and assume you are uncomfortable or not confident

*** AFC *** = Another Frustrated Chump (most guys)
An AFC is basically a guy that has little to no idea how to act
around
women in a manner that develops their sexual attractions. They are
accustomed to buying things for women to show they "like" the woman
of
their affection/desire. They hear "I like you as a friend" in some
variation often... and don't know why. There are several "scales"
attached to this to denote various stages of being a frustrated
chump...
WBAFC (way below)... BAFC (below)... rAFC (recovering)... iAFC
(improving)... PUA (pick up artist)... Guru (pickup artist
trainer/master)

*** AMOG *** = Alpha Male Other Guy
A situation where another guy is present and competing against your
PU
attempt or is blocking it more directly than as a friendly (from her
aspect) manner. The AMOG could be other men trying to also pick her
up, a
boyfriend, fiance, or husband.. or it could be an AFC with aspirations
of
getting this girl.

*** Anchor *** =
A technique developed from Neuro-Lingusitic Programming in which an
"anchor" is used to recall an emotional state of feeling. The anchor
is
commonly physical, such as a touch to the arm or hand. It can also be
mental, visual, or even verbal. A common anchor story (from Ross
Jefferies) involves the use of a sugar packet as a focus for the woman
to
place happy and loving feelings. You then have her focus her thoughts
on
the packet as somethign she can touch or hold to recall those
feelings...
and you. Thus associating her feelings of love with you... and
allowing
the packet to be a reminder of this state.

*** ASD/LRM *** = Anti-Slut Defense/Last Minute Resistance
Anti Slut Defense is a natural female reaction to imminent sexual
activity. It is from a "chick logic" that occurs when a woman begins
to
think about the social implications of having sexual relations,
especially for ONS or "just met you" situations. She begins to think
about the sex that is about to ensue and then realizes that there
might
be complications for her social status if she continues and the
activity
is discovered.
Last Minute Resistance is similiar to ASD, with a difference being
that
LMR is more of a one time resistance to first time sex. ASD can occur
from a partner that has had sex with you previously, but is against
some
new concept, such as a threesome or public sex. LMR is more of a
condition where "chick logic" is that if she surrenders to you
sexually,
you will leave afterwards, will brag about the conquest, or do some
other
undesirable action. It's essentially a reason for why you should not
have
sex at all, as opposed to ASD, which is a reason for not having sex
"like
this".

*** Bitch Shield *** =
This is a term for the social barrier placed, mostly by women,
toavoid
unwanted social interactions from admiring men. With an average of 100
or
more men constantly wanting to ask them if they would like a drink,
women
learn to have a "bitch shield" to immediately deflect incoming and
undesired advances. Usually encountered in places specifically geared
towards pick. The obvious fact they are in a pickup locale does not
mean
they desire to be picked up by everyone in the place. So, the shield
goes
up. The obvious way to get through a bitch shield is to not let her
raise
it in the first place or to get her to lower it because she does not
feel
a need for it.

*** C&F *** = Cocky and Funny
A bulwark of the DeAngelo school of seduction, cocky and funny refers
to
the use of humor with an edge of cockyness to it. Or cockyness with
an
edge of humor.

*** Close *** =
To end an interaction with a set or, ideally, with a woman. There are
variations. The most common is a # (number) close, where you get her
phone number. a @ or e close is an e-mail close, where you get an e-
mail
address instead of the number. A k close refers to Kiss close... a
close
where you end with a kiss. The ultimate is a F close. This is where
you
"seal the deal". * close can refer to kiss or screw closing. It is
possible to close a woman with a # close and then *close on the next
encounter. Closing just refers to ending a particular interaction.

*** CB/CockBlock *** =
A cock block is just what it sounds like, a person, possibly even
your
target but more often another, that is blocking your attempts to
isolate,
close, or simply interact/game your target.

*** DHV/DLV *** = Display Higher/Lower Value

*** EC *** = Eye Contact

*** FB *** = Fuck Buddy

*** FMAC *** = Find Meet Attract Close
The bulwark of the Mystery Method of secudion. The steps of seduction
interaction.

*** FR *** = Field Report

*** GFTOW *** = Go Fuck Ten Other Women The "cure" for
oneitis.

*** HB *** = Hot Babe. There are other levels...
HB# is the level of hotness. UG stands for Ugly. WP/Warpig stands for
REALLY ugly. Double/Triple/# Bagger refers to the number of paper
shopping bags needed to fuck her without revulsion. (nice body/face
like
death)

*** IOI *** = Indicator of Interest
Body language tells that show a desire or attraction. EC, hair
flipping,
blink rates. Kissing is a very strong IOI.

*** Kino *** = Kinesthetic activity.
Kinesthetic means touch. Kino simply refers to using touch to show
IOI
and also to garner and escallate sexual tension and attraction. This
can
be very subtle, such as a touch to the back of the hand, to very
overt,
such as grabbing a buttock.

*** LJBF *** = Let's Just Be Friends
A phrase commonly used by women to inform AFCs that sexual attraction
is
as close to negative as it can get. It's her way of telling a guy
that
she likes him, but does not consider him as having a penis.

*** LTR *** = Long Term Relationship

*** Neg *** = Negative Compliment
A compliment given to a woman that has a seriously overestimated sense
of
worth in order to bring her back down to reality and make her more
open
to approach from "lowly" men. It is a compliment, but iwht a negative
tone to it... such as "I love your nails, where did you buy them?" or
"You're really cute for a skinny chick." It MUST not be insulting
alone.
Most starting rAFCs then to use negs incorrectly, thinking they are a
cureall to opening.

*** NLP *** = Neuro-Lingustic Programming
The bulwalk for Ross Jeffereies' Speed Seduction. A term created in
psychology to describe how language patterns interact within the
human
mind. It is predicated on the idea that how we use language and how
we
think are intimately intertwined and the use of language can
influence

*** Oneitis *** =
A term used to denote an AFC that is fixated on one woman as the most
special being to ever have graced Earth. The AFC develops a fantasy
image
of this person that is so strong that reality would never hope to
match.
The most commonly asked question from a oneitis sufferer is likely
"There's this one chick and..." The poor AFC generally will not
accept
that his fantasy does not exist in reality. The cure of GFTOW is the
best
way to cure this. It is discussed further in Part V of this document.

*** ONS *** = One Night Stand (even if it lasts all weekend)

*** Pivot *** = A woman used to display to other women that
you
have the ability to have and keep attractive women interested and
around
you. A pivot is often a HB friend that is willing to assist you in
getting other women. A pawn is a variation of the pivot that is a
woman
you have just met, but use in a manner similiar to a pivot.

*** PU/PUA *** = Pick Up Pick Up Artist

*** Sarge *** =
To go out specifically looking to pick up women. Ideally with a goal
in
mind and using methods and advanced planning.

*** Shit test *** =
A form of "chick logic" where women will check to determine your
reactions, both verbal and non-verbal. A common shit test would be
asking
you to buy her a drink or telling you she has a boyfriend during your
PU
attempt. Your reactions determine the course of the rest of your
interaction. Note that most shit tests are instinctively performed by
women as opposed to being conscious actions.

*** Social Proof *** =
Signs that a person uses to display their status within a social
situation. Women are extremely socially conscious and seek to improve
social status whenever possible. Your social status is increased by
having HBs around or by being the center and leader of a group of
people.
It is decreased by sitting alone in a corner or doing actions that
are
socially repugnant.

*** Wing/Wingman *** =
A concept from the movie "Top Gun". your wingman is the guy that
backs
you up and keeps enemies (cockblocks) from stopping you in your quest
to
nail a target. This is the guy that goes with you and knows how to
entertain friends and such so that you can isolate your target and
engage
for a close. The best places to search online for a wing are likely

V : Phrases / Concepts

AFC/ Another Frustrated Chump =
The AFC is the reason we're all here. We've all been one at some
point.
AFCs are a special breed. Blind to the idea of what women want.
Naturals
are a term used to describe men that seem ot be able to naturally get
women sexually attracted with ease and grace. AFCs are the rest of
men
wondering why women always seem to like the jerks and assholes. And
PUAs
are what we are or hope to become. Men that emulate naturals and
learn
what it is that generates feelings of attraction in women. The concept
is
simply and difficult all at once. Men tend to use logic to solve
problems
in their lives. Women tend to be more open to emotion and less to
logic.
So, as men, we try to use logic to attract women.
But women are generally not logical. Emotion is generally not logical
and
logic is never emotional. So, there is a paradox. Men can not use
logic
to develop attraction, an emotional response. But, there is chick
logic.
The logic of emotion. This is where the art and science of seduction
collide, By the use of methods, techniques, and concepts... logical
patterns can be determined and applied to develop an emotional reply
from
women... ideally... attraction. But using these, we can logically
proceed
from step to step and watch and react to the emotional responses of
women
to further develop and increase sexual attraction they have for us.
AFCs
seldom realize how this works, though, because the steps are NOT
logical.
But they are chick logical. If this makes no sense, then welcome.
You're
learning already!

Oneitis =
This is a disease that affects 100%% of all men over that age of 12 at
some point in their lives. It's a condition where a man determines he
has
met the "perfect" woman. In most cases, though, it is because he has
built up an imagined ideal of what the object of his desire is.
Oneitis
is almost always centered on the most physically attractive woman he
has
met upto today. Seeing physical beauty, but unable to cope with how
to
approach the woman, he assumes that she is unapproachable by any man.
In
many cases, he will assume she is completely or relatively chaste and
virginal. He certainly will not image her as a very sexually active
woman. Even while she is stringing other men in a parade in front of
him.
In worse cases of oneitis, the man will sit for hours as his "special
angel" cries to him about how her latest BF used her for a six hour
long
sex-fest and then left her. All while wondering why she can't see how
he's a special guy that would love her and never use her for sex. And
wondering why she isn't having sex with him.
The cure for oneitis is simple and always the same. GFTOW. It has
three
main reasons why this is the quick and easy cure. First, in learning
how
to game ten other women to have sex with those women, he will learn
the
skills needed to attract this woman also. Even though he will
initially
deny she's attract to "guys like that", others know better... she is.
Plus, if/when she sees he's gaming other women, she'll wonder why
he's
not gaming her. And get jealous. Which is a form of attraction. By
getting skill with women, he'll be able to game her also. Second, in
having sex with ten other women, he's almost certainly going to find
a
woman that is better looking, smarter, classier, and alltogether
better
than the woman he is pining over. Finally, while he's off gaming ten
other women, he's not stalking and watching her. And she already
knows
he's watching her like a hawk watching the last bunny in the winter
field.

3 second rule =
This is a rule/concept for opening sets. the idea is that if you
wait..
the longer you wait... for several reasons, it gets harder to open.
You're standing around alone. This is not good for social proof.
You're
thinking about the approach... and getting jittery. Not good. And
you're
spooking the set. Not good. In other words, like most concepts in
PU...
JUST DO IT.

Inner Game =
Inner game refers to how you view yourself... which is ultimately how
the
rest of the world will see you also. If you think you are
overweight...
you are. If you think you are short, you are. If you think you are a
God-
King that women clammor all over and the most successful man in all
existance. You are me.! :) Seriously, if you think you will be
successful in picking up women, your odds of actually being
successful
improve exponentially. Inner game is the process of self improvement.
And
the real secret of PU is that while it is possible for any guy to pick
up
HBs.. it's certainly easier for guys that have improved themselves
and
continue to do so. No woman wants to settle for a loser. Neither do
you.
So, just as you are looking for someone that's constantly getting
better,
so is she. Work on your inner game and your PU rate will improve with
it.

Kino =
Kino is the act of using physical contact to escallate a woman's
sexual
desire and attraction and to prep her for more intimate contact. The
goal
of kino is, of course, sexual intercourse. But, just as you can not
go
straight from first gear to fourth without turning your transmission
into
spare parts, you can't try to get her from first to fourth. Kino is
the
gear switch. Simple touching, like a touch to the arm or hand, is the
start. It might seem uncomfortable at first, but women tend to be
more
"touchy-feely" than men. Push yourself a bit. When you sense
attraction
and can isolate, then you can move from simply slight touches to hand
holding, placing your hand on her arm longer, putting it on her
knees...
and eventually to kissing... higher kino. then, the next gear is
under
clothing. Anyways, from this point, if you can't figure out how to
proceed... you've got deeper issues that ASF can't address.

Openers =
Openers are routines that can be used to walk up to strangers and
"open"
them to converstation, such that you are accepted into the group,
with
the goal of either attracting and isolating your target... or
increasing
your social proof.Openers can be anything that gets you into a set.
"Hi"
is the most original and common. But, another common opener type is
the
"opinion" opener. It basically consists of asking a group for their
opinion on a particular subject or situation. The one caveat to using
any
sort of opener, routine, or line is to try and be as original as
possible. Nothing might be worse than waling up to a group of HBs and
asking "Hey I'd like your opinion. My friend has a girlfriend that
want's
to toss his old stuff..." and getting "You're the fourth to ask us
that
tonight!" And then not having a clue how to recover.
The concept behind using canned routines and openers is that you
memorize
them and then run with them. So you aren't thinking about the crap
you're
saying. Allowing you to start to concentrate on things like body
language, responses, and all sorts of other things that you might
otherwise not notice while you're busy trying to think of clever
things
to say. The male (logical) mind gets into this thinking that there
are
"magic" lines you can use to get "lucky". But, the female (emotional)
mind doesn't work that way. No one really knows just how it works...
not
even women... but it is emotional. So what you say is not as important
as
HOW you say it. Or, more importantly... what you get them to FEEL. If
they FEEL sad.. they are sad. If they FEEL happy, they are. And if
you
get them to FEEL horny... get the idea yet?

Negs =
Negs are negative compliments. The concept is that we've all seen
women
that act completely unapproachable. That act as if they are God's
gift
and that you aren't even worthy enough for them to sopit in your
general
direction. And all because they think that somehow having a somewhat
acceptable aesthetically positive attribute (IE: smokin hot bod)
somehow
means they have an inalienable right to treat you like dirt. If that
nicely. A neg is a reminder to her that acknoledges her as being
Goddess
Sexy... but in the same breath reminds her that beauty is skin deep,
and
she's not so hot otherwise. BUT... a neg should NOT be insulting
without
also being a compliment. the goal is to get her to open to you, not
slap
you.
A great neg starts as a compliment and then adds an unexpected BUT...
It
starts as being the everyday kiss-ass lines she expects... and then
dropping a load of crap on her. "When you're sexy you can get away
with
wearing shoes like THAT." "I really like your hair. Who does your
coloring?" "Your eyes are a pretty blue. Were'd you buy your
contacts?"
Notice that it's not JUST an insult. "Your nails are nice. Are they
fake?" is technically a neg. But, compare to "You're nails are nice.
Who
put them on for you?" and compare that to "Your nails are nice... for
fakes." A really good neg is actually and genuinely a compliment. But
it
just twists it. The level of negative has to match the level of
"stuckupness" of the target. If your target is not stuckup at all...
then
you really shouldn't have any negative to add, either.

DHV =
Display higher value. the concept of this is that in orer to be more
attractive to women, you must display that you have a level of worth
to
them and a reason for them to desire you. But, in common fashion, you
can't just walk up and spout off a list of reasons she should screw
you.
It would sound fake. And it would be. Imagine how you'd react to a
stranger walking up to you and detailing how he's got this and does
that.
So what? BUT... if you DISPLAY your value, without directly calling
it,
you can increase your worth in the eyes of others. Compare... "I'm a
PsD.
Chemisist that won the Noble Piece Prise for investing in prawn based
feromones to attract dancing women. I'm a genieous. What do you do?"
(yes, I typed that intentionally) compare to "Hey, guys, check out
this
photo of the guys I work with. Jokesters!! I was working on this new
chemical scent for a perfume and these guys are joking about using my
diploma to ignite the Bunsen Burner... to melt down my award. So I
sprayed them with 'Eau Du Skunk.' " It's the difference between
involving your set into your world compared to trying to telling
about
your world and expecting them to walk to it.

VI : Gurus, Methods, and Related Websites

There are a plethora of people willing to claim guru status. But
there's
not really a clear way to determine who is a guru or to even define
what
makes someone qualified to be a guru. Some say it requires a
successful
business and book. Some say it requires field reports and field
experience. Some say the advice has to work. Some would say it's a
combination. But, the fact is that some things works for everyone,
some
things don't work for everyone, and some things don't work for nearly
anyone. So, this is not an all-inclusive list, an endorcement, or a
judgement. (also note, I might have miskaes about the systems and
styles
listed. Please let me know if something sounds wrong!!)

Gurus and Methods

Ross Jefferies = Speed Seduction = http://www.speed-

Speed Seduction is a system based heavily on the use of Neuro-
Linguistic
Programming. The premise is that by using canned routines that have
trance inducing words, it is possible to get women to begin to think
about sexual desires and equate those thoughts to you, ultimately
getting
you laid. Ross's techniques are unique in that he was pretty much
first
to equate the idea of using hypnosis and NLP for strickly seduction-
based
tactics.

Mystery = FMAC = http://www.themysterymethod.com/
Mystery is the nearly Godlike PUA talked about in The Game. His
system
essentially breaks PU into sections and then analyses each step into
further steps and routines to use to go from one to the next. The use
of
peacocking perhaps originated as a formalized art/science from
Mystery.

Juggler = Charisma/Personality =

Juggler can be currently seen on the UK TV series "Seduction School".
His
system is primarily centered on developing a sense of charisma and
charm
that ladies will find irresistible.

Gunwitch = Sexual States =

Gunwitch is a relatively regular poster to ASF. His system is
primarily
focused on NLP and psychology with some evolutionary science and
behavior
evaluation tossed in. The idea being that people tend to act and
react
based on psychological and evolutionary instincts that can be
directed
and controlled for your own benefit.

Maniac was/is? a regular poster to ASF.

Formhandle = ??? = http://www.fastseduction.com
I'm not sure if Formhandle can be refered to as a guru or not. Or if
he
has a system/style of seduction. He has a website that acts as a

portal to other sites. But, his website is referred to by many
devoted
fans as the one-stop shop for seduction information. Acronyms,
Techniques, Wingmen, Forum Discussions... if you want to find it...

SR = Relationship Advice =

SR, or SeductionReport, is a sometimes regular poster to ASF. His
system
is primarily based on developing and maintaining a relationship.

Gordon Roy Parker (or the name du joir) = CUPID based
seduction

Ray or Gordon's name/handle has changed rather repeatedly in the ten
or
so years he's posted to ASF. He's well, let's say, an iconic figure
on
ASF. His system is based on a concept called CUPID... a rating system
to
determine the life appeal of a person, and then using your own CUPID
rating to seduce women in a range attainable by this level. He also
uses
ideas such as using prawns and ASF printouts to seduce strippers,
using
money and looks to attract women, and NASH (Not Another Stupid
Hottie)
as methods. He also claims to have invented many of the concepts that
are
used within the seduction community. Not everyone agrees with his
claims.

Finally...

You are here, we'd hope, to learn about seduction. What you learn and
how
much is completely up to you. How you improve, if you improve and
what
you improve is also up to you. It's your life. It's all up to you. No
one
cares about you as much as you do.

Keep in mind, ASF was started as a commerical group to promote a
product.
The seduction community is first and foremost a business. Some people
want to help. Some people want to make money. Some people want to do
both. Attempts to criticize a business enterprise or model... their
means
of income, is not generally welcomed. Often, it induces a flame
war...
and there has been a long standing Flame War on ASF pretty much since
the
start of the group. Some names have changed, but the motive for some,
profit, remains quite unchanged. So, once again... with all things
you
read here... caveat emptor.
