Job Description The User Experience Group at Siemens Corporate Research is seeking candidates for a position to create visual designs for the wide variety of Siemens products. The candidates main responsibility will be to provide graphic design solutions for products related to process control and automation, medical IT solutions, the Energy sector and internal/external web sites for Siemens. Additionally, the candidate should have a profound understanding of the user-centered design cycle and should be willing to assume tasks related to requirements elicitation, information architecture, concept development, prototype development, validation and even usability testing. Technical capabilities to support prototyping are assumed. Candidates must be willing to work within established branding guidelines and will receive direction from the departments director. It would be a big advantage if applicants had experience with Microsoft WPF. Primary Responsibilities - Develop graphic design for novel user experience concepts - Write style guides for Siemens operating companies - Inform, or implement, prototype for testing and validation Requirements - BS/MS in a Design-oriented field - At least 2 years of experience in a consulting or user experience design environment - Experience with Microsoft WPF is a plus - Experience developing style guides - Interest and experience developing interfaces for industrial and/or medical systems - Ability to work creatively while following Siemens brand guidelines - Fluency in English, additional languages helpful - Fluency in a wide variety of design tools - Willingness to work with our design centers in Germany and China - Ability to travel Siemens Corporate Research offers a stimulating and rewarding career environment and offers a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects its leadership status.
