Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university. . 15+ years of relevant work experience with high speed packaging systems, including a demonstrated progression of responsibilities with rotations in operations, maintenance and engineering. . 5+ years leading development and commercialization type projects . On the Net: http://www.medco.com Position Summary This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering and is responsible for leading the development path for dispensing technologies. This includes generating new processes which produce step function improvements in process capability, ensuring all development projects enhance the overall supply chain performance and maintaining a balanced project portfolio which creates value by effective balancing long, intermediate and short range goals. Key Challenges/Job Complexity . Balance multiple priorities while delivering results. . Manage Compliance, Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Constraints. . Lead teams in ambiguous situations to find the best solution to problems while gaining corporate consensus to the solution. Primary Responsibilities/Expected Contributions . Lead development, maintenance and enhancements of all dispensing technologies . Maintain development portfolio and garner Sr. Management concurrence and approval . Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, IT and Professional Practice to support and enhance existing dispensing platforms . Responsible for execution of all capital projects within pre approved limits, including schedule, resource utilization, budget and performance to specification. . Develop, analyze, and manage project plans, budget, and deliverables for capital projects. . Select, develop and manage staff. Provide mentoring, motivation and guidance to all levels. . Identify and implement "value-engineering" opportunities for all projects. . Perform site visits, coordinate contractors, and report progress/issues to senior management .
