You are brave to crosspost this to alt.satanism. Be afraid. Be very
afraid.
I'm posting this mesage to alt.satanism only, just because
Tani's presence, as always, has turned a lot of people off from
alt.horror.cthulhu since she showed up again about 6-8 months ago.
On and off over the years, she will appear, drive so many
good people away, then disappear, and the group slowly gains people
gain and becomes a very interesting place. Then *she* shows up
again.
Yeah, I know this is being somewhat unfair to your guys, but
you are far, far better at handling her than in a.h.c.
Oh, and I've crossposted with regards to Tani from a.h.c to
a.s before. Believe me, I have been on her enemies list a long time.
Thing is, I've done a lot of good for and helped a lot of
people in the Lovecraft community over the years, so I have a fair
amount of respect and good-will. She really cannot do much to me
there; it just backfires on her.
I killfiled her long ago, and keep killfiling her when she or
one of her never-ending sock-puppets appear.

Actually, in the case of OTHER NATIONS _P_ Marsh is Phil, her hubby,
and Tani is _T_ Marsh (for Tani, if that helps).
Oh, right. Yeah, Phil. I forgot his name.
Self-review via sock is considered really shoddy on Amazon, so would
be pretty much expected
from her.
Well, yeah. But I consider it a cheat and a lie. I have a
very wide streak of ethics in me; I have a B.A. in philosophy and
have continued to study it, and especially ethics, over the years.
I have this strong emotional desire to "do the right thing"
and, gees, have I suffered for that. Thus my post on OTHER NATIONS
at Amazon.

T. Marsh is Tani. The nakived nym is hers, a pun of sorts referencing
her fetish for secret police orgs of various totalitarian regimes.
You
don't know much about her, actually, do you?
Actually I know a fair amount. Just forgot about Phil's
name. On the other hand, I haven't made it a point to *keep*
remember Tani's details. I think it is similar to one of the
serverly tramatic events people can have that they just block from
their memory.
I do remember such things as the Satanic Red, her nasty
bigotry (that is what keeps driving people for a.h.c), her being
thrown out of the Church of Satan (is that the right name), her
constantly lying about being Phyllis Rose and someone managing to
come-up with a copy of her driver's license as proof, etc. A lot I
recall is her twisting of the Mythos so it fits her own fucked-up
beliefs.
But as I said, I don't work to remember it. Basically I have
just boiled it down in my head to: Tani Jantsang = Phyllis Rose =
Racist Asshole K00K with Sock-puppets. I find that works fine for
me.

IMO, one stinker of a novel by one silly old woman can't do any harm.
Blow it off. Forget it. Don't give her free publicity!
Yeah, but I just don't like the fact that someone might by
the stupid book because of Tani's fucking ego and her lying --
AGAIN -- using sock-puppets.
Oh, and it isn't really publicity for her. Most of the
people in a.h.c know and agree OTHER NATIONS sucks for sometime --
even if they hadn't read it. (As you said, reading her posts can be
enough to clue you to that.)
I did, however, write a message to Amazon suggesting they
might want to look a bit more closely at the accounts of those 5
"other reviewers". It would be good if they do something, but even
if they don't, I feel I have done my part by posting what I did on
Usenet.
I've read a couple of her mythos short stories online. While there
were a few interesting ideas in them which could have been the basis
for good storytelling in skilled hands, Tani's writing style sux.
Yeah, as I said, you can see that in her posts, especially if
she gets on one of her long rants.
It's especially distracting (to me, anyway) that she writes about her
friends as characters...to the point that even I could recognize them
from simply reading their silly internet postings over the years on
various occult fora. B-o-r--i-n-g!
Oh, I didn't know about that. Sometimes I wonder if her
Mythos stories might be a form of Mary-Sue fan fiction for her.
I do find her view of the Deep Ones vagely interesting,
because there is a Aryan Nationalism concept underlying it. She took
Lovecraft's own racism and twisted it into her racist beliefs.
Personally, I just file it under Tani-as-expected: a lot of
cyberfury
signifying not all that much LOL
Oh, I am not at all surprised. Though I am always
disappointed when people do such things, even if I already know the
person is an asshole. I just wanted others to know she was pulling
her same shit at
Amazon.com, where people do not know her nature as a
great many people on Usenet have learned to their disgust.
