Sarah Palin, The Clarence Thomas Of VP Selections

When fake conservatives and Religious Kooks forced the politically
weak George Bush Sr's hand regarding his Supreme court justice
selection in 1991, he knew he had to be sneaky (having seen what
happened to the attempted Bork selection a few years earlier).

He came up with a clever strategy involving using someone who always
voted the fake-conservative/religious kook way but who's race could be
used to play on the emotion of his being the replacement for
Thorougood Marshall (the first black Supreme Court justice).

It worked, and we have for ever since been stuck with a Supreme Court
justice that is roughly the legal equivalent of the idiot son Bush Sr.
stuck us with for the last 8 years.

Now McCain thinks he's going to do the same thing with a female VP
choice who enjoyes the drooling adoration of none other than James
Dobson and whose entire success in politics has involved resolving her
states issues through the distribution of oil revenue.

She may be a real nice lady, but then, I imagine Clarence was a pretty
nice guy too.
