"Clinton blindsided by scheduled event with Palin

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an
appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided
her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov.
Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.
Several American Jewish groups plan a major rally outside the United
Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad.
Organizers said Tuesday that both Clinton, who nearly won the
Democratic nomination for president, and Palin, Republican candidate
John McCain's running mate, are expected to attend.
That would have set up a closely scrutinized and potentially explosive
pairing in the midst of a presidential campaign, one in which the New
York senator is campaigning for Democratic nominee Barack Obama while
Palin actively courts disappointed Clinton supporters.

I think it says alot about their character. You just KNOW Sarah
wouldn't back down simply because a dem was there. Apparently this
protest against Ahmadinejad is simply a photo op for Shrillary. It's
not worth her time if she can't get the spot light focused on herself.

What's funny is that those posts were all correct. The Bush
administration now holds the record for the longest consecutive months
of employment expansion in our nation's history. He also set the
record for the highest percentage of home owners. The current
unemployment rate is around %%6, and although that is not as good as
we've grown accustomed to, it's a wet dream compared to the Jimmy
Carter styled economy you libs are hoping to impose on us. Our GDP is
positive, and we haven't even met the criteria for a recession (two
consecutive quarters of productivity contractions), let alone
depression.
What we're experiencing now is a credit crunch coupled with a poor
housing market. It's a temporary part of the business cycle and will
certainly correct just as it has for over two hundred years.
