So there was this 'helping with life' course, lets say it was called "Better
Parenting". It seemed to be *exactly* what I wanted, it was actually 3
courses of 1 year each, each dealing with a different stage of parenting and
how to improve oneself as both a person, a partner and a parent. The
curriculum looked great, and the testimonies were wonderful. it said it
dealt with all the things inpeople's pasts that prevented them fromreaching
their full potential as a person, partner and parent, and would help
re-build from those past hurts to make the person into thebest parent
possible. It fitted my needs perfectly, and it didn't bother me that it was
run by a Christian organisation because after all, thats what Christians
want - right? Helping people to help themeselves and to help...

The Salvation Army is just as bad about mixing preaching with charity -
but, unlike some of the others, they've never pretended to do anything
else.
