As any long-time reader and poster on ARS
will certainly remember, the idea of being
somehow rooted to a given land and to its
spirits has often been discussed here and
is often considered as a sort of necessity
or as some asset in order to be able to
better accomplish some of the shaman type
work known to mostly every practicionner.

One obvious and often quoted example coming
to my mind here is in order to interact with
the elements (weather), like asking the rain
to come, negociating with some storm, etc.
It could be about finding water, some plants
for healing purposes... basically, it's about
dealing with some specifics of a given place.

Beyond the 101-level about trusting spirits and
all that, which is not the topic of this post, I
thought I'd share a few things about a group of
incarnated people who, from time to time, seem
they have nothing better to do with their free
time than to try to impersonate some contacts in
spirit, their aim being to try to trick and to
fool some people who happen to use the astral
planes in order to meet, and also, to share some
information.

I'm not sure many people experienced it so far,
this post is primarily intended to those of you
(I could name a couple of them who are, or were,
regulars on this forum) who actually do know that
this exists because they met this very issue at
some time.

The seasons are changing and to most pagans that means it’s time to
shift gears and realize some of the most important holidays of our year
are not far off. Having had so many years of life spent within the
shamanic path. The fall and winter are times of great personal
reflection. Each section of the circle represents a part of the year and
at the same time a part of our life. Spring is birth and our youth but
it is also the time of renewal. Summer is the prime of life and the
season of the greatest growth personally and spiritually but it is also
a time a freedom and wonder as the earth takes from the spring the
promise of renewal and nurtures it to fulfilling that promise showing us
the fruits and staples of life. Fall is the time of harvest and the time
for the deep reflections into our own harvest. As we share in the bound
of the earth we just also share in the progress or lack of it in our own
walk through life. Winter is a time of sharing and giving. We prepare
for next season and evaluate the passing year. In winter we honor the
dead and acknowledge that like the earth those who have died remain to
await a new spring.
Respect the seasons and in so doing respect the earth for this is part
of the key to walking softly and seeing nature as it truly is. Honor
others and you would honor yourself and fuel the spiritual growth of all ...

I searched most of my life for something to believe in and while raise a
Christian I knew that was not what I needed. I studied religion in
college and got a degree in philosophy which was worthless. But I was
able to find that most of what made sense to mw was not mainstream
religion. What I was drawn to was the old ways that found their
grounding in the earth and made us, humans the caretakers not the
takers. I spent several years in Cambodia during the “war” and was able
to work with local shamans. That was the beginning of my path. When I
return to the states I spent some time in the western USA living with
the parents of one of the guys I had served with who did not make it
back. There I learn Native American ways and Native American Shamanism.
I have always been a pagan and I guess and earth keeper. Now at 65 life
is much more of a struggle. Health issues and money issues plaque me and
my family. Several years ago I opened and ran a metaphysical store here
in Ohio but it never really had a chance to succeed due to local
opposition. Sadly, after a year I closed the store but still felt there
was a need to supply the pagan community with goods and support. I learn
through life that if it is important somehow it will happen. I believe
that whether it is karma or the force that be what you truly need can be
found. Some time we have to look hard to find the help we need and ask ...

No ties to the land there. So cannot help with this one.

Seven years of bad luck started seven years ago today. You know who
you are and what role you played.

So do They. You can hide things in this world behind your curtains of
secrecy, but there is no hiding from the watchful eyes in the
Otherworld.

Soulless criminals of Halliburton, your chickens are coming home to
roost. The spirits have had ENOUGH. Many are the unrested riders you
and yours have added to the storm, and they scream with all their
being to do to your homes and your lives what you did to theirs.

Nothing I can do about it except sound the warning and serve as the
messenger. Get out of Houston. And by everything that's holy, learn
from this - those of you who are still capable of learning.

Did You Miss Ascension? -- The whys and wherefores

Dear One, The ascension of the planet into the 5th dimension is
complete, although, of course, not all her peoples or every element
and aspect of life upon her is 5th dimensional yet. This means that
the darkside has not been able to keep up its hold on earth or this
very important corner of Creation.

The planet will continue on with her ascension process to settle more
fully into and through the 5th dimension, ever reaching Higher as the
consciousness of those upon her reaches for new and greater heights.
Those who are not interested or able to keep up with her progress
shall have to leave, and not always in the most pleasant of ways.

For now however there is much that still must be done at this level,
and still the remnants of the darkside's old Great Plan to be dealt
with in one form or another.
