Five anons went to raid Gold yesterday and the Riverside (San Jacinto
branch) cops were waiting for us. They stopped us and came to the car
with a thick file (evidently prepared by Scilon staff).
Here's the reason they gave us to BAN Anons from protesting gold.
Because they had a 10 year old picture of (Happy Smurf next to Keith
Hanson sic
Henson), that means that he was and presumably still "in association"
with
him. In other words guilt by association. Now get this, because the
other
4 anons were in the car with smurf, they would be ARRESTED if they
were to protest gold.

That's clearly a complete abuse of process (I dunno oif the expression
exists in California; it should).

I wouldn't say that they have the cops in their pocket, per se, but if
I were a cop (or captain, depending on who handles these things) I
wouldn't want to expose myself to potential lawsuits and "other
action" if I didn't care either way. It's sad, but, as they say, "All
that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

People forget that policemen have an interest in not getting caught up
in what they see as "squabbles". It would be most convenient for the
local police department if people were not picketing at Gold. The Church
of Scientology is a resident, and the picketers would assume the
character of vagrants.

I don't think it's particularly important to picket there, myself. The
only audience will be the police department, and Scientologists at the
base. How much traffic goes by there, anyway?
