  Fair Game

Author: Tom Newton
Date: Jul 14, 2008 21:48

Q. What does the term "fair game" refer to?

A "Fair game" is a term which is often intentionally
misinterpreted and used by apostate Scientologists and other
critics to unfairly tarnish the Church.

"Fair game" was canceled in 1968, more than 30 years ago,
expressly because it was susceptible to misinterpretation
and misuse. The term meant that apostate members could not
seek protection or refuge under the Church's internal ethics
or justice codes. It had been intentionally and grossly
misinterpreted by apostates, when all it meant was that those
expelled from the Church could no longer take advantage of the
internal ecclesiastical support and justice procedures churches
of Scientology provide to resolve disputes and upsets among
parishioners. They would have to make their own way, unaided,
with the justice procedures of the society as their only
recourse.

This concept is as old as religion itself. Many faiths reserve
the right to expel or excommunicate members who refuse to abide
by the moral and ecclesiastical codes of the group.

Stop payments to docs by pharma

Author: Trudy Johnson

Dr. Appelbaum, director of the division of psychiatry, medicine and the law at
Columbia University, is quoted stating: "I think we may be coming to a point
where hospitals and medical schools have to get serious about sanctioning. You
can suspend doctors' privileges, or suspend their right to treat patients; both
have a huge impact on income and career. But if you're serious about these
disclosure policies, you have to be willing to back them up." NY Times

Applebaum is right - he is talking about docs taking payouts by pharma for
testing drugs or promoting drugs to other docs. The hospitals have to be
willing to stand behind whatever consequences the institute lays down and this
is not so easy to do. It all boils down to ethical behavior on all sides of the
coins. It should, however, be addressed and it should not be permitted to
continue the way it works now.

  Finally, an investigation

Last year, drug manufacturers provided the APA with at least $62.5 million.

Sen. Grassley is peeling away psychiatry's layers of deception about the
efficacy and safety of its treatments and its commercially influenced dubious
diagnostic criteria: "I have come to understand that money from the
pharmaceutical industry can shape the practices of nonprofit organizations that
purport to be independent in their viewpoints and actions." NYTimes

No kidding. . .especially when you consider one of the docs, Beiderman, just
names a drug with no trials behind it as something that is effective and we find
it being prescribed like candy to children and others. Only after many deaths
and miseries does anyone start looking into the drug with any real interest.

  Children as guinea pigs

Buenos Aires, Jul 10, 2008 (EFE via COMTEX)

-- At least 12 babies who were part of a clinical study to test the
effectiveness of a vaccine against pneumonia have died over the past year in
Argentina, the local press reported Thursday.

The study was sponsored by global drug giant GlaxoSmithKline and uses children
from poor families, who are "pressured and forced into signing consent forms,"
the Argentine Federation of Health Professionals, or Fesprosa, said.

"This occurs without any type of state control" and "does not comply with
minimum ethical requirements," Fesprosa said.

This is just too outrageous, isn't it? Sounds like psychs are behind it, but in
this case I believe it is only the drug manufacturer, GSK! They have not
ethical standards whatsoever!

More suicidality - good ole psych drugs

Author: Trudy Johnson

All drugs come with warnings about possible side effects. But now, some drugs
designed to treat conditions ranging from depression to the compulsion to smoke
cigarettes carry warnings that tell patients that they could experience
"suicidality," the medical term for suicidal thoughts or behavior. Wall Street
Journal 9 July 08, Drugs' Links to Suicide Risk Draw Concern

Nothing like trying to cure "depression" with a drug that is going to make you
feel so bad that you start to consider suicide, is there? Someone out there is
really trying to control our population, huh?

Deadly syndrome caused by SSRI drugs

Author: Trudy Johnson

Also, too much serotonin can result in a deadly condition known as serotonin
syndrome. This can come about when the patient takes two or more serotonergic
drugs, or too much of a single SSRI drug. RxList

And by the way, this syndrome is deadly and many docs don't even know its
symptoms!

  Something stinks

Author: Trudy Johnson

All SSRI's have the ability to affect the heart (and all other bodily functions)
negatively. They can afffect the Q factor (? not at all sure about that term)
which is the time between heartbeats, I believe. They can also affect blood
pressure and pulse. There have been many deaths due to the use of SSRI drugs. Rx
List

So here is the truth about SSRI's and yet the FDA and other "authorities" round
the world allow the use of these killers for the treatment of "diseases" which
really don't even exist. Something stinks about this situation.
