According to anti-Scientology super-attorney Graham Berry, in a letter to Ava Paquette (the top Scilon lawyer), Chanology has had a huge impact:
===
* An over 50%% drop in Scientology's gross income
* An over 50%% drop in those "on course" or being "processed" by the cult
* Staff, including very senior executives, leaving Scientology in record numbers such that Scientology's "Gold Base" at Gilman Hot Springs is now down from about 1,200 staffers to about 400 staffers, of whom some forty senior executives are under guard in the "SP Hall" or "hole"
* Major unhandled PR "flaps" worldwide, some of which are poised to escalate significantly (e.g.Norway)
* The posting of the entire Scientology 'Bridge to Total Freedom' on Wikileaks (AND Encyclopedia Dramatica!).
Also:
* Scientology schools were shut down in Israel and Denmark for not meeting the State's curriculum and student performance requirements
* Scientology facilities were raided and shut down by the Government in Belgium
* Scientology closed its doors in D

The Zahid family of Greenwich, Connecticut, owns General Motors of
Saudi Arabia. Their business contacts think they are Muslims, but they
are Daheshists.
Daheshists are followers of "Doctor Dahesh"; the miracle working
"Prophet" of Lebanon who claimed to be the reincarnation of Jesus
Christ. His religion, Daheshism, teaches reincarnation, and that
Prophets arose after Muhammad, such as al-Hakim, and Dahesh being the
last (but not final) one. There about about 5,000 Daheshists in
Lebanon.
The Zahid family are in fact the "hidden rulers" of Daheshism
worldwide. They include:

I read a blog at
http://myscientology.blogspot.com/2008/05/scientology-and-brainwashing.html
In it, it contains the following paragraph:
"In his comments on the report an external advisor to the APA, Benjamin
Beit-Hallahmi of the University of Haifa, stated that "lacking psychological
theory, the report resorts to sensationalism in the style of certain
tabloids" and that "the term 'brainwashing' is not a recognized theoretical
concept, and is just a sensationalist 'explanation' more suitable to
'cultists' and revival preachers. It should not be used by psychologists,
since it does not explain anything". [3], [4]"
It is strange that Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi would write such a thing, knowing
he is the one accusing other scholars to be cult apologists.
