INTEGRITY CAN MAKE YOU EASY MONEY!! IT WILL!!! BUT YOU
HAVE TO FOLLOW IT TO A LETTER FOR IT TO WORK!!!!
A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you
are now, and
came across an article similar to this that said you could make
thousands of dollars
within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought,"
Yeah, right, this
must be a scam", but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept
reading.

Anyway, it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address
stated in the
article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the
list at #6, and
post the article in at least...

US MEDIA: The Boston Globe (January 30, 2008): "New role awaits a historic eyesore: Church of Scientology buys former Alexandra Hotel"

=====
The Church of Scientology of Boston Inc. has bought the historic
Alexandra Hotel building at Washington Street and Massachusetts Avenue
in the South End and plans to relocate its local headquarters from the
Back Bay, following extensive renovations.

The sales price of the Alexandra - ravaged by fire in the 1993,
decayed, empty, and recently eluding City Hall's hopes that it would
become residences - was not disclosed by the Rev. Gerard Renna, the
top Scientology representative in Boston.

[...]

The building had been for sale in recent years, at one point with a
price tag of $3.5 million, said Lathrop, but the sales have always
fallen through.

The city at one point went to court to have a receiver appointed for
the property, because it had languished and rotted for so long, but
later relented.

Hi all -

With all the recent Scientology publicity going on I thought I'd join
the fray and say hi -

My interest in Scientology started with Tom's couch-jumping
shenanigans. I only had a vague idea at the time what this "religion"
stood for. But once I did a wee bit of researching I was dumbfounded,
appalled, etc..

I applaud the efforts of those who are making public the crimes this
group has perpetuated. What great work!

I'm also very impressed with the picketers in the videos who are able
to keep their cool in the face of rabid cult members. My blood
pressure goes up each and every time I see them (cult members, not
picketers!) foam at the mouth, spewing their usual mindless babble.

I do have one question - and I can't seem to wrap my head around this
- How can people still join Scientology today with so much information
at their fingertips? I can see in the 1960s all the way up to the
1990s that people could be sucked in with the promise of a better life
etc.. But in this day and age? Is it just a small percentage of people
who actually research stuff online?? Makes me sad.

METRO EDITOR

ONE of the historic landmarks in Port Elizabeth's central business
district - the United Building on the corner of St Mary's Terrace and
Govan Mbeki Avenue - is soon to have a R6-million facelift, adding a
new look to the inner city.

The building has been bought by the Church of Scientology, which wants
to turn it into its regional headquarters, for about R8-million.

Recently approved by the commissioner of revenue as a public benefit
organisation, and also tax- exempted, the church has also recently
acquired new property in Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town.

The Port Elizabeth building originally housed the United Building
Society, then Boland Bank and the Consumer Credit Bureau.

The church's director of external affairs for Africa, Paul
Sondergaard, said yesterday: "We see our investment in Nelson Mandela
Bay as a contribution to the upliftment of the area as has been so
well demonstrated by the Mandela Bay Development Agency at the recent
opening of Govan Mbeki Avenue."

  To Anonymous: Picket Sign tech

Author: barb

Thinking about making a picket sign for the 10th?

Here's a quick, easy, and law enforcement proof design. Many cities have
laws, actual laws, outlining what kind of stick you can use. Balsa wood
stick, yes. Broken off pool cue, no. Save yourself the effort.

Get a piece of gatorboard at a print shop. 2.5' x 2' is a good size.
With duct tape, make a handle on the back, big enough to slip your arm
through like a Roman shield. The neat thing about this is, you can still
have both hands free. Then just print out your message in 140 pt. type
and tile it. Tape it to the gatorboard and you're ready to roll.

Note: to that dumb guy in the corner who doesn't want his sign sticking
to him; roll the duct tape so it doesn't stick to you, m'kay?
