One of the cafeterias where I work has a damn decent deal for
breakfast: One biscuit and gravy (serve yourself--all the gravy you
can fit on the plate) for a buck! For those of you unfamiliar with
biscuits and gravy (properly prepared), I can only shake my head
sadly.
Anyway around the medical center where I work, there is almost no
reason why anyone should have to go hungry, however destitute he might
be. He just has to beable to cadge a couple of bucks off of
strangers, and scarf down massive doses of biscuit and gravy each
morning. In fact, there are at least two apparently homeless
"regulars" who seem to do just that, and good for them (well, good or
bad, I suppose, depending upon how vascular health is weighed).
And this is not ersatz, starchy, reconstituted gravy, either (or if it
is, they sure fooled me). It's chunky, not lumpy or chalky; it has
the occasional huge piece of sausage in there (the prize in the
Cracker Jack box); and has a definite bite to it, though I always
spice it up anyway.

Spoiler space.
The Atlantis team is surprised when a Replicator scientist, named Koracen,
reveals that they have developed a way to "digitally" ascend.
http://www.tv.com/stargate-atlantis/ghost-in-the-machine/episode/1178952/summary...
Does anyone recall an y other episode that shows where the ascended "hang
out"?The only one I recall is an SG-1 episode that has a bunch of ascended
people, hanging out in "Sol's Diner".

Lt. Col. Samantha Carter: Nothin'. I just think it's funny how you're always
losing your pants.
Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: I'm not always losing my pants. It's happened
twice. Twice is not always.
I don't know about you peeps, but I am hoping thr replicators have a cooler
place to gather..and that they look better too ;-)
