I was picking raspberries on a farm when the farmer showed up
with a Chinese (Taiwan or Mainland, I don't know which) tour group.
He had given all of them little half pint containers which
they could fill with raspberries and eat as part of the tour.
Half of them were very excited and rushed into the field.

Picking raspberries on a sunny day is just a lovely experience.

The other half screwed up their faces and refused to go into the field.
Later I asked the farmer what was up and he told me
that the interpreter said that they considered it to be "farmers work".

I suddenly felt a strong urge to nationalize their assets,
which I thought was strange since as a typical American,
communism has no appeal to me.

  Teaching "I Don't Care..." on 2-22-79

Author: mcinnez
Date: May 13, 2008 12:27

This Teaching says,
"Caring takes less time than not caring, because
while all the talk, unkindness, disagreement, fussing, hurt
and brutality is taking place, the situation could be
solved, celebrated instead of ignored or dismissed, or
the progress could be accomplished that was meant to
be in the first place."

REVELATION DELIVERED THROUGH FRANCES M. KLUG
ON FEBRUARY 22,1979

"I don't care.
I don't feel it is important.
I'm too tired to bother.
It costs too much.

These phrases, decisions, cliches, draw
conclusions, never solutions. Wouldn't it be a terrible
thing to hear God say, 'I don't care.' This is an
unthinkable statement when we connect it to God.

  Death Ray Malfunction?

Apparently, *no* one death rayed Robert Rauschenberg, and yet, dead,
he is. Has the death ray gone HAL on us?

Boston area mutants: June 15th get-together

Author: Modemac
Date: May 13, 2008 08:02

The hackers on steroids known as ANONYMOUS are having an outdoor party
on Sunday, June 15th:

http://non.violentuprising.com/index.php/Operation:_SeaArrrgh

( Also: http://www.modemac.com/wiki/ANONYMOUS )

This is as good an excuse as any for mutants, SubGenii, Discordians,
Kibologists, Pastafarians, Euthanasiasts, skeptics, and similiarly-
inclined mutants and weirdos to get together to meet and greet, party,
B.S., and have a fun time -- while at the same time showing some
support for the INTERNET HATE MACHINE. The main purpose of the
gathering is to take part in the protest...BUT, anyone attending is
encouraged to have fun and enjoy themselves.

As an ordained SubGenius minister, I invoke the authority of J.R.
"Bob" Dobbs, the Saint of Sales, to beseech and request that mutants
in the Boston area show up to take part. All you need to do is show
up, say hello, and hopefully stick around to have some fun hanging out
with a bunch of freaks. It is strongly suggested that you wear a mask
of some kind. (It's up to you to decide just how much "authority" an
idiot like "Bob" actually has.)
