  The Sheep Before The Shearers

Author: Carl
Date: Jul 9, 2008 20:03

This sermon by Charles Spurgeon uses the analogy of sheep with the shearers
to show how God clips away at our earthly comforts and leaving us bare. We
can either struggle and fight against the shearing or remain calm, trusting
and yield to His hands. This is an elightening and comforting sermon well
worth the time to read.

May God bless,
Carl

The Lord Is My Shepherd
by John Piper

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he makes me lie down in green
pastures. He leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He leads me
in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy
rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I
shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The Grand Enterprise of Mormonism
LDS Newsroom

SALT LAKE CITY 8 July 2008 Of all the institutions in the modern world
that have learned the art of give and take with the news media,
religion has perhaps had the most difficult time adjusting. Religious
matters, with all their miraculous narratives and complicated
histories, don’t easily lend themselves to neat explanations. The
demands and rigors of journalistic objectivity are not always aligned
with the subjective nature of religious experience. So it is with
Mormonism.

Author: 1st Century Apostolic Traditionalist
Date: Jul 9, 2008 00:20

Congratulations! to those readers who have resolutely continued with the
Daily Reading for the last six months. For they have now read half the Old
Testament, and ALL of the New.
May God bless your continued effort and dedication.

Bible Readings for Today
1 Samuel 21-22
Isaiah. 65
Matthew 10
For those who want to go directly to the source of this study guide,
it can be found at http://www.antipas.org/readings/readings.html

It takes normally between 20-30 mins per day depending on one's reading
speed.
It will be found many unanswered questions which may have seemed puzzling
and "Hard to be understood" are slowly and precisely answered as the Bible
is methodically read through day after day.

Here is a helpful link for anyone who either does not have a Bible to
hand, or might prefer reading from their computer, or might want to compare
different translations, or even read non-English versions:
