Eaton Centre Incidents
================
At 9 p.m. last night on August 25th 2008 as I was chalking
the sidewalk at the Eaton Centre with the word "Revolution"
followed by "eh-ok.ca" under it, a busker cum undercover cop
as far as I'm concern comes charging over to me and whips
my box of chalk across Yonge Street in the direction of Yonge+
Dundas Square.
Then, he starts to verbally abuse me.
Then, he start to charge at me with his chest extended pushing
me all over the place.
Another undercover cop appears only to be kept busy by tourists
who ask him all sorts of questions.
I finally was allowed to continue chalking.
This morning everything had been washed away so I repeated
everything I had done yesterday evening to have another under-
cover cop come by and say that I was defacing public property.
This type of Police behavior is typical of a Police State.

Anti-Catholicism is on the rise, again. Its amazing how those who claim
to be intelligent can resort to incredible ignorance and disrespect when
dealing with beliefs contrary to their own. PZ Myers, a biologist at the
University of Minnesota, is the latest to go on a rampage against the
Church.
On June 29th, he attended a Catholic Mass and received Holy Communion.
He didn’t consume it which was a good idea:
For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats
and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and
infirm, and a considerable number are dying.
1 Corinthians 11:29-30 (NAB)
Unfortunately, he walked out of the Mass with the Sacred Host with the
intention to desecrate it. The evil deed occurred on July 24 where he
pierced the Host with a rusty nail, commenting that he hopes that Jesus
had received a tetanus vaccine, piercing the nail through the Quran and
Richard Dawkin’s book (The God Delusion), and then throwing it in the
trash with coffee grounds and a banana peel. This was done by an
educated man who has a bachelors degree in Biology.

Every once in a while, far too frequently I think, I get an e-mail or
read a classified ad in a newspaper that has instructions on praying a
novena. At first, it seems harmless enough, but upon reading I find that
I can get anything I want from God by praying the novena and then
passing it to other people. The novena is typically like this:
SAINT JUDE NOVENA. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified,
loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever. Sacred Heart
of Jesus, pray for us. St. Jude, Worker of Miracles, pray for us. St.
Jude, Helper of the Hopeless, pray for us. Say this prayer 9x a day for
9 days, then publish and your prayers will be answered. It has never
been known to fail. R.P.
In other words, you can ask for anything you want in prayer and you’ll
get it, and probably get it very quickly after you publish the novena.
This type of prayer is a variation of the Law of Attraction: you can get
whatever you want by focusing on it. There is a serious problem with
this type of devotion.

If you’ve attended prayer groups, you probably came across people who
claim to know their guardian angel’s name. To get the name is simple,
just ask the angel what it is and the first name name that pops into
your head is the angel telling you. This method is very superstitious
and should definitely be discouraged.
In fact, the Church in its Directory on Popular Piety and Liturgy, does
not recommend trying to name your guardian angel:
when the daily events of life, which have nothing or little to do
with our progressive maturing on the journey towards Christ are read
schematically or simplistically, indeed childishly, so as to ascribe all
setbacks to the Devil and all success to the Guardian Angels. The
practice of assigning names to the Holy Angels should be discouraged,
except in the cases of Gabriel, Raphael and Michael whose names are
contained in Holy Scripture.
Directory on Popular Piety and Liturgy, 217
While its unlikely that you can know your guardian angel’s name, you an
be assured that he is protecting and guiding your throughout your life.
Be thankful to God for providing us with help like this.

If a Protestant came to you and said that you were saved by faith alone
and that your salvation was assured, would you believe him? If he backed
up his claims with references to the Bible, how would you respond to
them? Would you be convinced and abandon the Catholic position?
I find that a very large number of Catholics do not understand their
faith and would not be able to defend their beliefs if they were
challenged. Catechisms generally don’t teach apologetics. They teach
what the Church believes, but not why.
When your a child, you don’t question what your taught. You believe
everything your told because you don’t have the knowledge to challenge
your teachers. Learning this way is good for children, but adults use
logic and reason and start asking "why" questions. For example, children
are taught to have a devotion to Mary and pray the rosary. An adult
needs to be told why we should pray like this.

Some hundred thousands people saw it....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOg4fAX8jc4
Were they all having an illusion ?
If you manage to love those who want to harm you, then you will gain
something beyond any imagination.
Anything opposing to the above is at least suspicious (don't you agree
with that, deep in your soul?)
Keep you eyes open, for the things to come... and do not be afraid,
because your soul is untouchable.
Do not care about your mortal body. After all, it is just a matter of
time to disintegrate.
No fear, my sisters and brothers.

I was talking with Jesus Christ a few minutes ago and he is for sure
going to vote for McCain. He feels McCain has the type of values
that
most good people can relate to, plus McCain is a good friend of Jesus
because when McCain was a prisoner of war in Hanoi, North Vietnam
McCain and Jesus would communicate on a regular basis and Jesus says
McCain has kept in touch every since.
I asked Jesus, I said, "Jesus what should I tell the people that want
to vote for Obama?" Jesus said, "I'm disturbed with Obama because he
is in cahoots with Reverend Wright and Reverend Wright is in cahoots
with the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan. I'd prefer to have
good
decent Christian in office as President instead of a closet Muslim
like Obama."

Today, June 3rd, at the Toronto Reference Library I attended a
presentation
on addiction given by Dr. Gabor Maté @ 2 p.m.
Dr.Gabor Maté works at the Portland Hotel in Vancouver’s
Downtown Eastside.
His 4th book dealing with the dynamics of addiction is highly
acclaimed: "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts: Close Encounters
with Addiction". (See book review: http://www.walrusmagazine.
com/articles/2008.03-walrus-reads-book-review-gabor-mate/)
What he said that resonated most with me is that addicts like
the feeling of *NOT* being addicted.
And he quoted from Thomas Merton, my favorite author: a British
homosexual sex addict + Columbia University grad who became
a Catholic Trappist priest who said that the goal of all spirituality
is to become a Buddha, an independent being: not to be dependent
on anyone or anything.
Dr.Gabor Maté was invited by the City of Toronto Harm Reduction
Program to do speak @ the Toronto Reference Library on the topic
of drug addiction.

He arrived on the grounds of the Ontario Legislature at 9:40 a.m.
yesterday
to speak with 1st Nation people who came to urge the Gov't to release
Gordon Lovelace from jail.
Quickly, he was surrounded in a semicircle formation by five (5)
persons
claiming to the members of the Christian Peace Team (CPT).
Threatened with being charged for creating a disturbance, they told
him
that he had to deal with them, the CPT, if he wanted to speak with
anyone
there.
(By the way he already heard this very same threat, being charged for
creating a disturbance at Ryerson University in September 2007 during
the Toronto Film Festival when he was he illegally detained for over
two
(2) hours the Police and brutally interrogated with HANDCUFFS ON! all
for writing with chalk in front of the Ryerson University Bookstore:
REVOLUTION eh-ok.ca.)
