Greg Griffith
UK: Toddlers who dislike spicy food may be branded ‘racist’
Monday, July 7, 2008 • 12:06 pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

England... fork... some assembly required:

Toddlers who turn their noses up at spicy food from overseas could be
branded racists by a Government-sponsored agency.

The National Children's Bureau, which receives £12 million a year,
mainly from Government funded organisations, has issued guidance to
play leaders and nursery teachers advising them to be alert for racist
incidents among youngsters in their care.

This could include a child of as young as three who says "yuk" in
response to being served unfamiliar foreign food.

The guidance by the NCB is designed to draw attention to potentially-
racist attitudes in youngsters from a young age.

It alerts playgroup leaders that even babies can not be ignored in the
drive to root out prejudice as they can "recognise different people in
their lives".

David Ould
Women Bishops in the CofE - narrowing the broad church
The lie of the broad church is demolished once and for all. I am now
outside the church on a matter that is, according to the discussions
of the church, still debatable and where people on both sides are
understood to hold their position in good conscience. And that is a
ridiculous state of affairs. Our "broad church" has become even
narrower. It strikes me that this is in no large part due to an
absolute breakdown in trust - I simply do not trust the liberals to
play fair. They have demonstrated time and time again that they will
not. Now will someone please tell me why Fraser and the rest of them
keep crying wolf on the "takeover" of the conservative evangelicals?
If even N.T. Wright, great defender of orthodoxy that he claims...

OREMUS for Tuesday, July 8, 2008

O Lord, open our lips.
And our mouth shall proclaim your praise.
Blessed are you, Lord, our great God,
for the testimonies of the prophets we bless you.
For the statutes of the law we bless you.
For the gospel of Christ and the witness of the apostles
we bless you, glorious God.
You touch us with the Holy Spirit
and do not let us escape your Word
without being caught by its promises and powerful joy.
Blessed be God for ever!

An opening canticle may be sung.

Psalm 74 [CCP]
O God, why have you utterly cast us off?*
why is your wrath so hot
against the sheep of your pasture?
Remember your congregation that you purchased long ago,*
the tribe you redeemed...

  Wise Bible Readings for 7/7/08

Author: 1st Century Apostolic Traditionalist

Congratulations! to those readers who have resolutely continued with the
Daily Reading for the last six months. For they have now read half the Old
Testament, and ALL of the New.
May God bless your continued effort and dedication.

Bible Readings for Today
1 Samuel 19
Isaiah. 63
Matthew 8
For those who want to go directly to the source of this study guide,
it can be found at http://www.antipas.org/readings/readings.html

It takes normally between 20-30 mins per day depending on one's reading
speed.
It will be found many unanswered questions which may have seemed puzzling
and "Hard to be understood" are slowly and precisely answered as the Bible
is methodically read through day after day.

Here is a helpful link for anyone who either does not have a Bible to
hand, or might prefer reading from their computer, or might want to compare
different translations, or even read non-English versions:
