That is correct. Only the elect, whom God chose, will receive
saving faith in Christ, and it will be by faith in Christ's
work, not personal merits, or will (John 1:13; Rom. 9; etc.).
But that does not mean that therefore Christ died only for the
elect, which the Bible nowhere states.
Fact is, even the elect must be saved by objective faith in
the proclaimed word of God, regarding Christ's death and
resurrection for their sins. We are not saved by the arrogant
assumption that somehow...
