  Got A Lot Done Yesterday

In making at least some of my collection take up less space. Going to
try to conquer at least a few boxes a week so whenever I get totally
priced out of this dump, the move hopefully won't be as hopelessly
chaotic.

  pictures as inspiration to clean

Author: lissa
Date: Jun 30, 2008 14:55

when I did my huge "inspection clean" I took the time to photograph
this phenomonon of cleanness in my life. I am glad I did. I was
reviewing some digital pics on the computer and found these gems. I am
going to print them and stick them up somewhere to show what this
place CAN look like- maybe I can get it that way again.

  Laundry WDYD?

Author: xkatx

My laundry goes as follows... I guess I kind of have some "rules" (which are
almost always broken, but still)
The "rules" are as follows...

*I do the laundry.
*You put your dirty laundry in a provided basket - or you're welcome to find
someone elses' basket and use that.
*If your laundry is not in a basket (beside or around doesn't count...

  Bread machines

Author: DivaMagenta
Date: Jun 30, 2008 11:24

Well, after much debate, I finally decided to get another bread machine
a few days ago when somebody offered one on Freecycle. I figured it
will be worth trying out to see if I use it enough to justify the space
this time (it's been a while since I've had one), since it didn't cost
me anythng.

Now that the hot weather season is here, it will be nice to make
homemade bread without having to use the oven. Plus there are times
when even my usual simple method of using the KitchenAid to mix the
dough and then letting it rise and baking it is more than I feel like
doing, so the idea of dumping in a few ingredients and turning it on and
forgetting iabout it is very appealing

It didn't come with its manual, and I couldn't find the specific manual
to download from the web (except from one site that caused my computer
to flash a download alert, so I passed). But the Hillbilly Housewife
site has a great all-purpose bread machine guide that pretty much tells
you how most of them work, and gives you an idea from the cup capacity
of the bucket what size loaf it can make (mine has an 8-cup capacity,
which apparently accomodates a 1-lb. loaf, perfect for just the two of
us). Her site also has several recipes for bread machine breads.

Thank Gawd For The Stimulus Check

Author: Boredumb

Motherfuckers jacked my rent again. If not for the check I would be
facing homelessness or some sort of personal catastrophe. I also found
out that a free weight makes a helluva mark when it collides with the
wall. If not for the check this place would probably have no interior
walls by now.

Gotta figure out some sort of exit strategy for the next year. Can't
really deal with any lifestyle changes right now so it will be a rough
one trying to figure out how to live some other way but other than the
night life this place is totally unliveable anyway.

  Yikes, this weather...

It seems to be coming out of nowhere... It's blowing like crazy - things are
flying around in the yard! I had to run out and grab some stray clothing
items that were in the yard - DD2's hat, DS's jacket, a few other things...
My kitchen garbage can, which has been outside the last couple days waiting
to be washed out real good, just flew off the table it was on. A bucket
went sailing as well. I hear cans flopping around the yard and it looks
like I will have to get out in the yard as soon as this is done and pick up
some over turned garbages that once sat near the BBQ.
Down the sidewalk across from us, someone's quick-set gazebo or screen tent
has taken flight out of their yard - almost. It's half in and half out
right now and is a little funny to look at. Tree pieces are flying
everywhere too, it seems. lol
If I am not back, fear not. I will just click my pretty little slippers and
remind myself "There's no place like home..." that is, of course, after I
turn to DS's cat and mention that I don't think we're in Canada anymore...
I was just outside this morning at a park and although a little cloudy, it
was still nice and warm. Not windy like this or with yucky black clouds
down the way. I was also out just an hour ago when we came home from
dropping DS off at a birthday party - it was not even a little windy... And
it was real warm - I even had to yank DDs' jackets off because it was a ...

  Loving This News Server

Author: Joyce
Date: Jun 25, 2008 19:15

So, I signed up with a news server that Serene had suggested since my ISP
has completely dropped all newsgroups.

After using it for one evening, I love it already. I had never even
realized it, but my ISP's news server had been painfully slow. The messages
seem to load up so much faster on this one (or am I dreaming?).

I am a huge fan of this store called Susie's Deals!

They carry clothes for everyone, men's, women's, and kids too. I
always know that I can walk in to one of their stores a come out with
a big bag of really cute stylish stuff for $25! Everything in the
store is sold for $5.99 or less and you can even find things that are
2 for $5.99!

I have bought some really nice name brand things at this store and
given them to friends and family for Christmas. People have NO idea
that these nice items only cost me $5.99 each .. It's Awesome!

I urge you to check them out, because you only have one store on your
site that carries clothing and this store appeals to everyone! And
they have a web site where you can also shop online or snatch an e-
coupon to use at the store, and if you spend $50 the shipping is FREE
which is a definite plus!

Their web site is http://www.susiesdeals.com they have store in
California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah too.
