1. Justice. Simple justice.

2. Validating all that America is supposed to stand for.

3. Sending a message to the world as well as future generations of
Americans.

That said, the argument that the cost would outweigh the immediate
gains is certainly valid.

And that number, I am sure, far surpasses that which principled
Republicans (and the corporate media) would leave us to believe....

In other words, I suspect an approval rating of Bush would sink even
much lower than it is now in the weeks and months following the
disastrous Bush era.

Well, an impeachment conviction by the Senate would disqualify the
accused from holding any federal office and from receiving a pension.
Also an impeachment can occur even after the person leaves office.

Impeachment would restore the balance of power.

It is also possible even without an impeachment to prosecute Bush and
Cheney.

Those of you who don't want Congress to impeach, you can probably
relax. Nancy Pelosi is too political to pursue this course of
action. She has put the Democratic party before the Constitution.
She believes that pursuing impeachment would hurt the Democratic
Party.
