Skull Found Inside Cardboard Box at San Diego Shopping Mall

SAN DIEGO - San Diego police say they have found a human skull inside a
cardboard box at a shopping mall.

Detective Gary Hassen says a man called police Thursday to report that he
found the box amid shrubs outside a restaurant in the Clairemont area.

The remains were turned over to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's
Office as authorities try to determine an identity and cause of death.

Police say there was apparently no foul play.
