A Man Of Faith - Lieberman is expected to help McCain among both Jewish and evangelical voters.

In more than a quarter-century of public life, John McCain has been called a lot of things. But
this week, on the cusp of what proved to be a pivotal win in the Florida Republican primary,
one of his leading supporters bestowed upon the Arizona senator a new title: "Maccabee."

"McCain is definitely part Maccabeean," Senator Joseph Lieberman said, referring to the band of
dissidents whose unlikely victory over the Greeks is commemorated by the Jewish holiday of
Hanukkah. "He's got that spirit."

Lieberman is certainly a good judge, given his own history with unexpected success - including
his decision to endorse McCain last December, before McCain's campaign had fully rebounded from
a near-collapse last summer.

I just found out that my book "The Doctor Who Cures Cancer" had been
translated into Russian a while back and sold. 10,000 copies have been
sold.

Only I never got paid a penny for them. I never gave my approval. I
own the copyright. It says so right inside the book.

Who knows if I'll ever get be able to collect any damages. I've heard
that Russia has a poor reputation in that area. We'll see.

Before anyone tries the old "I'd be tickled pink if I had a cure for
cancer if more people had the information in their hands" canard, I've
got a couple of responses for you.

First, my getting paid doesn't reduce the number of readers one iota.
In fact, paying me would give me greater ability to promote the book,
which would increase the number of readers.

Secondly, produce cures cancer. So should farmers be happy if someone
were to steal a truckload of hot peppers or garlic from them?

My truckload has been stolen, just like if someone were to clear out
your bank account of $15,000 to $30,000. So no, I'm not happy.
