World donors offer billions in aid for Afghanistan

PARIS (AFP) — The United States put up 10 billion dollars to rebuild
Afghanistan on Thursday as world donors responded to a funding appeal
from President Hamid Karzai but warned more must be done to fight
corruption.

Well done on the $10 Billion, my only worry about giving money in
general is that the country is so vast, with so many different
warlords and interests, it's really soldiers on the ground that is
needed just as much as the money.

However it's better late then never.
