one is to get the listener interested, usually by drawing a
commonality via interest bay buchanan uses it well in that respect.

the other way is by those who TRY to use it for the above purpose, but
fall far short of the goal. two politicians who miss terribly by
trying to use it in the above way are George Bush and John McCain.
people like Bush and McCain are easily read, to the point it is KNOWN
they are lying.
