It might be noted that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were military targets
bombed as part of a just war of self defense.

The WTC was a civilian target bombed as part of a war of aggression.

If they didn't want us in Afghanistan or making drone strikes, they
shouldn't have massacred thousands of civilians in an unprovoked war
of aggression.

They attacked us because they wanted to conquer the world and create
some radical Islamic empire, they thought we'd act to counter the
creation of their nightmare empire, and they thought that 9/11 would
intimidate us into not acting against them.

# The bombing of the two Japanese cities (thus, civilians) was justified as
a means of hastening end of the war, but the Japs were already suing for
peace, via Moscow; and the war was almost over anyway. No, Truman and Co
probably wanted an excuse to test a bomb on humans, as well as revenge for
Pearl Harbor. (Napalm was another nice invention; used in Vietnam.)
Generally, the concept of USA being Morally Pure, and thus any attack on
it is simply the work of Evil Doers - hardly stands up to close examination.
US is a Great Power, and acts like one.
TLC: Trashing Little Countries; then
Terrorists Liquidated Completely; then,
Tender Loving Care (Freedom & Democracy - and oil.)
(That is, a USA version of British Imperialism's White Man's Burden.)
Terrorists exist, but ya gotta ask - why?

PS: Does USA need war? After all, "the military-industrial complex" - which
Pres.Eisenhower warned about - is a huge Washington lobby. It would be
terrible if World Peace broke out!)
