Jimmy is still sharp and quick witted. The man is an international
policy genius. He is a citizen of the world. He's not just a treasure
here, he's a treasure nearly everywhere he goes.
This may sound nuts but I think he should run in 2008. I think he's the
only guy that could restore America's credibility around the world. For
domestic policy he will need some help but that's what a cabinet is for.
His VP should be Murtha.

I'd prefer not to return to double digit inflation, unemployment and
interest rates. He can go back to Cuba since he seemed to enjoy his
visit there.

The man is a natural phenomenon. And despite being over 80 years old,
the man is still pretty erudite and very common-sensical (I know that's
not really a word but work with me, people!!).

Much as I like the man Carter became after he left office. He wasn't
that competent as a president (or else, incredibly unlucky). Good man,
though. He might be able to move forward on the Israel-Palestine
conflict, as he's less enamored with Israel's government than most
Americans are (New book: 'Palestine Peace Not Apartheid' ). It would
give him some credibility in the Arab world.
Except, it would take a genius to get the US out of Iraq, and leave the
place stable and democratic. And Carter isn't a genius.

What else would we expect from a right-wing asshole. You prefer George
Bush and his "stay the course" delusion????
Of course, you aren't smart enough to understand the difference.

Oh, and your party has done so much for this country and this world
since Bush has been in office. Bush can hardly put two words together
to form a sentence and cannot think on his feet. We're in debt for
years...

When I think of him or Beelzeflubba, a line from "Becket" comes to
mind..

It was indeed a pleasure to watch him, at 82, be more lucid about any
subject than Bush 43 could ever hope to be. He was also quite
gracious toward Bush Bird, although he didn't have to be so.
