I am no fan of Libertarians. Most of them are pedantic and extreme and
fucked in the head. But...
http://www.ontheissues.org/Bob_Barr.htm#Immigration
He looks like the only candidate on the right side of Immigration, and
many other things as well.
I think Barr isn't really all that Libertarian, so far as the average
libertarian knothead goes, just read his issues on that link. But he
was an elected Congressman for a long time, which automatically puts
him head and shoulders above the libertarian wanks they normally run,
so they nominated him anyway.

To Satan, the Neo Nazis justifying yourselves for forcing HIV and Aids to
spread by your Laws!
You are being manipulated by People who do not have Spirit from King Yahweh,
and they are using you to set us up, by making them able to use their
Corrupt Governmental and Religious Legal Standards...

Still, being 137 years old, he could die in office if somehow he gets
elected. Maybe if Hillary is his running mate, he can win.

"The Influentialist" ( http://www.influentialist.wordpress.com) a new
service covering political, legal and campaign developments in the
lobbying profession announces its formal, public launch today.
Within just the past twelve months, legal and policy professionals in
the lobbying industry have witnessed the most substantial
transformation of ethics and campaign finance rules in over a decade.
Today’s lobbyists – and just as importantly, the executives and
general counsels who employ them – now operate in a more uncertain and
unforgiving legal landscape than they are traditionally accustomed.
As a consequence, it is more important than ever for political
professionals and their clients to stay on top of the latest industry
and ethics news.
Produced and edited by Florida attorney, Andrew L. Asher (http://
www.asher-law.com), former General Counsel for the prestigious
lobbying firm of Barbour Griffith & Rogers, LLC, in Washington, D.C.,
The Influentialist combines seasoned legal and political perspective
with nuanced news coverage to provide its readers with the most
relevant and timely news concerning legal and political developments
in the lobbying profession.

Yep, things are just fine for oil companies as they are,
thanks fellow oilman, President Bush, for your oil industry
vision for America...
"...HOUSTON (AP) - Giant oil companies like Exxon Mobil and
ConocoPhillips are getting ready to report what will
probably be another round of eye-popping quarterly profits.
But just where is all that money going?
The companies insist they're trying to find new oil that
might help bring down gas prices. But the money they spend
on exploration is nothing compared with what they spend on
stock buybacks and dividends.
The five biggest international oil companies plowed about
55%% of the cash they made from their businesses into stock
buybacks and dividends last year. That's up from 30%% in
2000 and just 1%% in 1993, according to Rice University.
The percentage they spend to find new deposits of fossil
fuels has remained flat for years, in the mid-single digits...."

You'll be able to tell when the US is winning when the money flow
reverses. As long is 12 billion a month is flowing from the US to Iraq,
it's a losing situation. Losing, losing, lost.

" .. the New York Times rejected an opinion piece submitted by McCain ..."
" .... it "would have to articulate, in concrete terms, how Sen. McCain
defines victory in Iraq.""
"It's possible that top Republicans are delighted to have a fresh reason to
flog a newspaper that is a tried-and-true target for conservatives."
On the side, McCain is now blaming Obama for high gasoline prices ....
" .. on McCain's own record. McCain, too, opposes drilling in the Alaska
refuge and during his 2000 presidential run opposed lifting the offshore
drilling moratorium as well."
Not that any of that really impacts such much in any case
(as we seem to have passed peak oil anyway and it's a world
market).
But conservation, alternate energy sources, etc. would help. Not the
repub agenda.
