I ain't talking about the Christian Network, which I assume you'd only
watch if you are a hardcore sheep, but about "realistic" channels like
History Channel, which constantly bombard us with religious nonsense,
clearly catering to the Christian mind, having though the patina of
realism...
So it is that they perpetuate the myth of a superhero, who turns very
much unlike Hollywood's heroes: a nonviolent loser. :(
This is a review by a believer...
'...although it comes out all hallelujahs and hosannas for us
believers, with the excuse to build gothic cathedrals and tell actress
and bishop jokes, as a drama, it's a bit of a fizzler: a parable
without a punch line, or, indeed, much of a punch. Commando
revolutionary enters capital to stir up patriotic fervour with
hardcore buddies. Whacks moneylenders. Chats up good-time girl. Wins
argument with quisling. So far, so good. Then, he gets captured,
humiliated, tortured and nailed to a tree. The bankers go back to the
temple, the Romans back to government and the quisling's still in
charge.

REPLY: Im tired of networks not examining the real historical evidence
for Jesus and instead , just making him out to be a nice fella with
good morals wearing sandals and visiting beaches. Id like to see
Christian Apologist Dr. Norman Geisler , www.impactapologetics.com,
invited on the show to present the long compelling evidence for Christ
being the actual Son of God ... except its not evidence that most
Skeptics truly want ; for thats just a smokescreen coverup to not
wanting anyone interferring with their desired lifestyle choices which
are usually immoral and to which they know is immoral. In short, its
more advantegeous to not even look at the evidence for Gods existence
or Christ. Truth isnt important any longer
-- getting sexual urges and
feelings met , is.
MY REPLY: What *REAL SCIENTIFIC* evidence do you have for the existence of
any of the gods? Present it if you have it.

I have yet to understand this argument. It is beyond silly.
If God granted people free will then people can freely choose any
lifestyle, moral or immoral. Whether or not God exists has nothing to do
with it at all.

Animal Planet shows me the skeletal remains of the Tiranosaurus Rex,
but History Channel hasn't come up with Jesus bones. He must have left
something behind, a pair of sandals, a supermarket receipt for the
last supper...
The other day they showed the so-called "Jesus boat," which turned out
to be a boat that any fisherman from that era could have used.
I just want want to see
--for all the big money they spend researching
Jesus-- to see something substantial. Or else I'll tune to the
cartoons channel. ;)
