The Plight of the Bosnian Serbs

The arrest of Radovan Karadzic in Serbia on Tuesday has provided yet another
occasion for all the tired old propaganda about the Balkans wars to be taken
out of the cupboard and given one last airing. In particular, the war is
presented as one between a Serb aggressor and an innocent victim, the Bosnian
Muslims, and the former is accused of practising genocide against the latter.
Even if one accepts that crimes against humanity were committed during the
Balkan wars, it should be obvious that both these claims are absurd.

First, the Serbs were no more the aggressors in the Bosnian civil war than
Abraham Lincoln was an aggressor in the American Civil War. The Yugoslav army
was in place all over Bosnia-Herzegovina because that republic was part of
Yugoslavia. Bosnian Muslims (like Croats) left the army in droves and set up
their own militia instead, as part of their drive for independence from
Belgrade. This meant that the Yugoslav army lost its previous strongly
multiethnic character and became largely Serb. It did not mean that Serb
forces entered the territory of Bosnia, or even that the Serbs attacked the
hapless Bosnian Muslims.

I would like to voice my anger at the totally unjustified and illegal
arrest of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic.

Mr. Karadzic is regarded as a hero of the Serbian people, defending
the nation against muslim terrorists, the same terrorists who killed
3,000 civilians in New York and are wreaking havoc every day in Iraq,
Afghanistan, and all across the world. How hypocritical of the West to
demand his arrest and yet pursue the war against the same terrorists.

And how gutless of President Tadic to co-operate with the tribunal and
betray his own people, in return no doubt for personal financial
reward.

The Hague tribunal is an illegal institution which has no place in
international law. It is set up to find all Serbian generals and
leaders guilty, not to give them a fair trial. The Tribunal is
reminiscent of the show courts of Nazi Germany and Stalin's USSR.
Meanwhile, Muslim mass murderes such as Oric are given paltry
sentences, while the genocidal murderer Haradinaj is acquitted
altogether.

Theophilia and Race Crime

Theophiles as lovers of gods do an awful lot of hating- largely
through mass ignorance of evolutionary reality and bucket loads of
monotheistic prejudice against any worldview other than their own.

Plutocrats as lovers of wealth are the chief peddlers and consumers of
theophilia but of late have found a much more useful ally in feminism

If the masses cannot think other than in the theophile terms given to
them by pretentious masters, they are effective isolated from secular
reality- the real world that exists.

Political power doesn't materialize in a vacuum. It must be gained by
a force of will that overcomes any opposition based on past myth.
Reactionaries naturally seek to maintain and renew these myths and
build new ones when the opportunities arise.

A man who claims accounts of the Holocaust are "exaggerated" and
describes Anne Frank's diary as "evil" has been convicted of putting
articles on the internet that could stir up race hate. A jury at Leeds
Crown Court yesterday found Simon Sheppard, 51, guilty of nine counts
of publishing racially inflammatory written material on his website
between March 2005 and April 2006. The court heard Sheppard's website
attracts 4,000 visitors a day. Four of the articles were penned by
Stephen Whittle, 41, who was yesterday convicted of four counts of
publishing racially inflammatory written material.
