TWO Jewish rabbis yesterday called for a peaceful end of Israel saying that the existence of
the "Israeli state" was contradictory to the Jewish law.

Speaking at a meeting with the Doha-based Muslim scholar Sheikh Yousuf al-Qaradawi, rabbis
Ahron Cohen and Yisroel Dovid Weiss, who are activists at the Neturei Karta, a group known for
its opposition to the establishment of Israel, said that the creation of Israel "was a heresy
made up by the Zionists to undermine the true Jewish life".

Army suicides reported at 2-decade high

WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of Army suicides increased again last year,
amid the most violent year yet in both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Two defense officials said Thursday that 108 troops committed suicide in
2007, six more than the previous year. The officials spoke on condition
of anonymity because the full report on the deaths wasn't being released
until later Thursday.

Suicide bomber kills 16 people in northwestern Iraq

BAGHDAD (AP) -- A suicide bomber blew himself up Thursday in a crowd of
police recruits in northwestern Iraq, killing at least 16 men and
wounding 14 others, an official said.

He arrived on the grounds of the Ontario Legislature at 9:40 a.m. to
speak
with 1st Nation people who came to urge the Gov't to release Gordon
Lovelace
from jail.

Quickly, he was surrounded in a semicircle formation by five (5)
persons
claiming to the members of the Christian Peace Team (CPT).

Threatened with being charged for creating a disturbance, they told
him
that he had to deal with them, the CPT, if he wanted to speak with
anyone
there.

A Scary Prank About Al Qaeda and W.M.D.

The headlines, splashed across The Drudge Report, ABC News and other
major news sites last night, were scary indeed: AL QAEDA TAPE TO CALL
FOR USE OF WMD

According to the reports, the tape urged jihadists to use “biological,
chemical and nuclear weapons to attack the West,” and a quote from an
official source followed, adding further credibility:

“There have been several reports that al Qaeda will release a new
message calling for the use of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against
civilians,” FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told ABC News in an e-mail.

If confirmed, this would represent an overt threat, and an unusually
intense one. However, the headline turned less dire upon closer
inspection. A few hours after the story broke, Evan Kohlmann, a
terrorism expert who closely tracks Al Qaeda, posted a blog item
dismissing the threat as a prank:

McCain Rejects Endorsement of Pastor Who Called Islam a 'Conspiracy of Evil'
McCain: 'I Believe There is No Place for That Kind of Dialogue in America'

Just three months after seeking his support, Sen. John McCain has now rejected the endorsement
of Pastor Rod Parsley, an Ohio televangelist who called Islam an "anti-Christ" religion and a
"conspiracy of spiritual evil."

McCain's decision to spurn the popular pastor, who the senator called a "spiritual guide," came
after "Good Morning America" broadcast portions of some of Parsley's anti-Muslim statements. A
spokesman for Parsley declined to comment on McCain's decision to break with the pastor.

Mother Jones magazine first reported Parsley's anti-Muslim views in an article March 12, but
McCain took no steps to dissociate himself from Parsley until after the "Good Morning America"

"I believe there is no place for that kind of dialogue in America, and I believe that even
though he endorsed me, and I didn't endorse him, the fact is that I repudiate such talk, and I
reject his endorsement," said McCain in an interview with the Associated Press last night.
