detainees at the request of Chinese intelligence officials who had come
to the island facility to interrogate the men -- or they allowed the
Chinese to dole out the treatment themselves, according to claims in a

Mubarak snubs Bush at World Economic Forum

Sources told the paper that Mubarak was planning to attend the opening
session, but when he found out that Bush had missed his speech, he
decided to leave.

In his speech, Mubarak lashed out at countries that promote using
organic fuels while the world is suffering from a food crisis.

there's the Rev. John Hagee, a hate-monger and certifiable loon who believes that Hurricane
Katrina was God's judgment on New Orleans for planning a gay parade, calls Catholicism a "false
cult system" that conspired with Hitler to exterminate the Jews, and believes that America's
divine duty is to destroy Iran. Then there's the Rev. Rod Parsley, who garnishes his bigoted
theology by calling Islam "the greatest religious enemy of our civilization and the world" and
saying that Muhammad was "a mouthpiece of a conspiracy of spiritual evil."

These psycho Christians make Robert Mitchum's sociopathic traveling preacher in "The Night of
the Hunter" (the guy with "love" tattooed on one hand and "hate" on the other) look like St.
Francis of Assisi. They are undiluted bigots who espouse beliefs just as twisted as those
promulgated by the Rev. Louis Farrakhan -- and far more toxic and extreme than those held by
Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Egyptian imam says Islam rejects terrorism

CAIRO, May 20 (UPI) -- The grand imam of Al-Azhar in Cairo, in an effort to promote tolerance
of Islam, said Monday that terrorism is rejected by the Islamic faith.

A delegation from the U.S. Military Academy met Monday with the grand imam of Al-Azhar, Sheik
Mohamed Sayyed Tantawi, at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. The U.S. delegation was visiting Egypt
as part of a Middle East tour.

In an initiative to promote greater tolerance of Islam, Tantawi told the delegation that the
Islamic faith rejects aggression, injustice and terrorism. He also said that believers of Islam
are urged to cooperate with all divine religions, the Egyptian government reported.

"Terrorists are criminals who have nothing to do with any religion as they violate the sanctity
of human souls," Tantawi said in a statement.

The grand imam said the curriculum at Al-Azhar University is based on tolerance and support for
the rights of Muslims and people of other faiths.
