What 'D Ya Mean?

Author: James Fenimore

No sooner have the Dems gained congressional majorities in the House
and Senate, but they're letting interparty favoritism and snarkiness
take over their agendas.

For House Speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi, it appears her first order of
business will be to give House majority leader hopeful Rep. Steny Hoyer
(D-Md.) the back of her hand, as she loudly states her preference for
Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.). This is said to reflect a longstanding
icyness between Pelosi and Hoyer.

But if this type of political "action" is what the Dems have waited 12
years for, the 2008 presidential election just might give 'em some
NEGATIVE voter feedback. As in a return of the Repuglicans. Heaven
forbid!

Just think "Harriet Meier" before you pop off about endorsements/political
agendas and/or eventual appointments, okay? DUHbya is so devoid of good
judgement (as has been demonstrated throughout his almost 6-year
reign-of-error), his selection for a United States Supreme Court justice
nominee was a wholly unqualified individual for what would be a lifelong
position on the highest court in the land. Her credentials? A strong
"Christian" with pro-life positions. Other consideration: "Ah know her
heart."

Further evidence of DUHbya's poor judgement is the need for the Pappy and
Pals/Iraq Study Group to help bail him out of the tangled web that's been
woven in Iraq.

Yeah, time for a recall election already. Don't hold yer breath, Jiminy.

Pelosi is trying to get the best outcome, nothing more.
She is supporting the man of substance over the good fund raiser.
Let the fund raising guy do his thing of course, but put the man of
substance in the leading role.
I see only a good thing here.

I don't see the problem in her support for Murtha or in his receiving
a plum appointment in the new Congress. He was the first to have the
balls to stand up to Bush and stood alone for some time before the
rank and file grew theirs.

Yeah. Sometimes it pays to have good relationships with your coworkers. I
used
to be a sales rep for an independent rep firm, then I was hired as a
National Sales
Manager, and my old boss was now my employee.
