Who's Snooping on You?
http://www.wxpnews.com/archives/wxpnews-320-20080325.htm

An increasing amount of information about each of us resides on various
databases, both in government agencies and private companies. It seems as if
almost every day, there's a news story that reminds us just how long the
reach of Big Brother has really become.

Last week, the headlines were plastered with reports that all three major
presidential candidates' passport information had been improperly accessed
by contractors working for the State Department.

The week before, a story in the LA Times said that 13 employees of the UCLA
Medical Center were being fired for looking at Britney Spears' confidential
medical records. Were these low level clerical workers who didn't know any
better? Apparently at least six of them were doctors.

  Will New Laws and Technologies Destroy the Anonymity of the Internet?

Vol. 8, #13 - Apr 1, 2008 - Issue #321

Will New Laws and Technologies Destroy the Anonymity of the Internet?

The real or perceived anonymity of online communications is a big attraction
for many people - and not just those who are up to no good. For many folks,
the 'Net has long served as a place where they can interact with others
without dealing with issues such as race, height, weight, or physical
attractiveness. Or, as famous New Yorker cartoon by Peter Steiner, published
way back in 1993, put it: "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog."
http://www.wxpnews.com/R4B167/080401-Dog

It's relatively easy to create a whole online persona that may be very
different from the one you project in "real life." This tendency grew
naturally out of role-playing games and some people relish the opportunity
to "be someone else" during the time they spend at their computers.

Shows Queen Hillary's campaign manager profiting large from subprime
lenders.

Dirty money is not new to Queen Hillary.

Cattle futures. Remember?

I know I know - only republicans are into dirty money.

So let's blame the republicans for the subprime crisis.

No democrats were involved.

Right.

  Hillary is not the only liar

Looks like Queen Hillary has some competition in the "lying about my
past experience" department.

Senator Obama apparently has "forgotten" that he signed off on some
real liberal stuff.

Obama had greater role on liberal survey
During his first run for elected office, Barack Obama played a greater
role than his aides now acknowledge in crafting liberal stands on gun
control, the death penalty and abortion
-- positions that appear at
odds with the more moderate image he has projected during his
presidential campaign.

  John Kerry repeatedly begged John McCain to be his running mate in 2004

June 12, 2004 (New York Times)

WASHINGTON, June 11 -- John Kerry, the presumptive Democratic nominee
for president,
has repeatedly and personally asked Senator John McCain, the
independent-minded Arizona Republican, to consider being his running
mate, but Mr. McCain has refused, people who have spoken to both men
said Friday.

Mr. Kerry, the Massachusetts senator, made his first direct overtures
to Mr. McCain about three weeks after locking up the Democratic
nomination in March and approached him again, in person or by
telephone, as many as seven times, as recently as last week, according
to one person who has discussed the issue with both.

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/12/politics/campaign/12MCCA.html?ei=5007&en=22de10fcb50e67f3&ex...=

"It was always artfully phrased, but he asked him on several occasions
to serve as his running mate," the individual said. "He'd say, `I
don't want to formally ask because I don't want to be formally
rejected, but having said that, would you do it?' or `I need you to do
it,' or `I want you to do it.' "

And this is relevant to this newsgroup because?

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.

  any connection

Author: David

Hmmmmm, any connection you think?

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment ra te was 4.5%%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we're seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) the cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5%% (a 10%% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value
evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by
$1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1%% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!
