WASHINGTON — The Republican National Convention has given John McCain and
his party a significant boost, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken over the
weekend shows, as running mate Sarah Palin helps close an "enthusiasm gap"
that has dogged the GOP all year.
McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%%-46%% among registered voters, the
Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA
TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he
lagged by 7 percentage points.
CONVENTION: GOP rejuvenated
The convention bounce has helped not only McCain but also attitudes toward
Republican congressional candidates and the GOP in general.

Black schools the answer to black crime in London
The increasingly unruly nature of elements of black Londoners has now
focused on the educational failings in the state sector, with leading
black politician Lee Jasper and former aide to former Mayor
Livingstone calling for support to have black only schools
“The fact is, it’s time the black community ran its own schools,
devised a curriculum that suited the needs of our children, employed
teachers that look like the young people they are teaching.”
In Toronto,Canada the Toronto District School Board approved for the
establishment of “Afrocentric or black-focused schools” in 2009 which
aims to address the high level dropout of black children estimated to
be at 40%% per cent in the city.
In London the “dropout” rate is around 20-30%% in certain areas of
London, with crime figures indicating that murders amongst young
people show blacks to be the victims and perpetrators in 80%% of cases.

The mob appeared an hour after sunset, armed with axes, clubs and
paraffin. The carnage that followed would have been much worse if the
Christians of Gadragaon, a remote village in northeast India, had not
been warned by text message: “The Hindus are coming to kill you.”
The alert gave most enough time to flee to the jungle, where 114 of
them would hide for a week, drinking rainwater and foraging for food.
But the warning did not come early enough for those unable to run.
“They doused him with petrol and taunted him; we could hear him
screaming,” said Ravindra Nath Prahan, 45, of his paralysed brother,
Rasananda, 35, who was burnt alive by Hindu fanatics. “I could have
tried to save him. But we had to save ourselves.”
The attack on Gadragaon, by a mob that chanted “Hail Mother India” as
they razed the village, was among the first of the grim litany of
atrocities committed against minority Christians in the state of
Orissa over the past two weeks. The Vatican has called the wave of
violence “a sin against God and humanity”.

A TORY candidate in Leeds has been forced to apologise after he said
he was sick of paying tax to support "imported spongers".
Glenn Broadbent, the Conservative candidate for the forthcoming
council by-election in the Farnley and Wortley ward, also ranted
against "lazy people" and subsidising the "Scots and Welsh".
Labour seized on his remarks – posted on the popular social networking
site Facebook – saying they proved the Tories were the "same old nasty
party".
Mr Broadbent, 48, declared in the "about me" section of his Facebook
profile that he is: "Proud to be English and sick of paying tax to
support lazy people, imported spongers and subsidising the Scots and
Welsh".

The elder brother, Khaled, had been a deputy commander of a crack
jihadist “special forces” unit. After his “glorious” death, Turki took
his place.
“He was deeply affected by the martyrdom of his brother,” the Knights
said. “He became more ambitious and more passionate about defending
the land of Islam and dying as a martyr, like his brother.”

ISLAMISTS CANNOT WAGE all out war on the U.S. and expect to win. But
they have a religious duty to try to wage jihad in some way and
eventually conquer all countries, including the U.S. There are more
devious ways to conquer than straightforward war, however. In this
article, Anis Shorrosh, author of Islam Revealed, shares what he sees
as the Islamists' 20-year plan to conquer the U.S. As you can see,
many of these things are already being done.
1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with
statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.
2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev.
Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote
Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting
Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-
Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them
as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same,
''Abed.''
