May Day, May Day, America Turns against the Regime

Author: Marinus van der Lubbe
Date: May 1, 2008 21:16

Marches, port closures, school walk-outs, FEMA terrorism scare
exercises, Google blocking information sites, arrests without charges,
and a total news black out in the corporate media.

What you missed while watching FauxNews

The first labor strike (in the USA) against the war in Iraq.
International Longshore & Warehouse Union shut down all ports on the
West Coast for 8 hours.

Vermont AFL-CIO Resolution: "the war in Iraq is immoral, unwanted, and
unnecessary..."

Pro-labor marches in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami,
Oxnard, Phoenix, St. Paul, San Francisco...hey, you live a city? You
probably had one going on there too. Just don't turn to Fox to find out.

Our three (I think they are different people) presidential candidates
spent the day in hiding. They did not want to get too close to anything
involving labor, peace, or justice.

58%% of gas price is crude oil

Author: Black Elk
Date: May 1, 2008 17:37

Which is where oil corporations control the price.

---

The biggest single component of retail gasoline
prices is the cost of the raw material used to
produce gasoline---crude oil. For example in 2007,
crude oil alone made up 58 percent of pump
prices. Refining the crude oil into gasoline
accounted for 17 percent of the retail price.
Retailing added another 10 percent to the retail
price of gasoline. Taxes accounted for 15 percent
of the price of gasoline.

WAR IS A RACKET

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most
vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one
in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

Strike Against War Shuts Down West Coast Ports
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/050108B.shtml
Peter Cole writes for The Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "On Thursday, May Day,
the International Longshore and Warehouse Union will declare an eight-hour
strike to protest the war in Iraq. Since the ILWU controls every port along
the U.S. Pacific Coast, including Seattle and Tacoma, this strike demonstrates
the collective power of workers willing to use it."

'Anti-Terror' Drills Could Go Live
By Dr. James H. Fetzer Major William B. Fox
Captain Eric H. May SFC Donald Buswell
4-28-8

The name "false flag" comes from the old pirate's ruse of flying another
country's flag during an attack, thereby shifting blame for the attack to a
party that had nothing to do with it. Governments use false flag attacks to
push their nations into dictatorship or war. As military experts, we fear
that national terror drills, scheduled for May 1-8, could be used to
camouflage a false flag attack in the United States.

Strategic Signals

Yesterday an American-flagged ship fired on the Iranian Navy, and now Pentagon
sources say that they have been ordered to prepare attack plans. Admiral
"Fox" Fallon, the Centcom commander who opposed war with Iran, has been ousted
in favor of Bush loyalist General David Petraeus, who has spent the last month
accusing Iran for our increasing problems with the Iraqi resistance.

ACLU: Torture of Detainees Continued After 2003 Directive
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/050108J.shtml
Adam Goldman, of The Associated Press, reports "the military continued to use
abusive interrogation methods on detainees after a 2003 directive meant to end
such practices, the American Civil Liberties Union said Wednesday after
reviewing newly released documents. The Department of Defense documents shed
light on the use of psychologists in military interrogations and the failure
of medical workers to report abuse of detainees, the ACLU said. 'The documents
reveal that psychologists and medical personnel played a key role in
sustaining prisoner abuse - a clear violation of their ethical and legal
obligations,' ACLU attorney Amrit Singh said."
