Professor: Athletes got high grades in class that required no
attendance and little work

Auburn University is investigating allegations that one of its
professors improperly assigned grades to student-athletes, particularly
football players, in 2004 and 2005.

The professor making the charges went one step further Thursday night,
telling the Journal-Constitution that the pervasive atmosphere of
athletics over academics at Auburn is rampant.
