SUBJECT: WAMA's congeniality award given to malevolent bully

Wammie recipient linked to bomb threat against veterans' organization

On Sunday, February 17, 2008, the Washington Area Music Association
(WAMA) gave Ron Goad a Wammie award for being the "most supportive of
Washington music." Since the award, an e-mail sent by Mr. Goad has
emerged that portrays him as a malevolent bully. (See e-mail below,
with expanded headers. Ref. Message # 1)

A series of e-mails also link Mr. Goad to a bomb threat against a
veterans' organization. Mr. Goad is a board member of Songwriters
Association of Washington, DC, a sister organization to WAMA. The
president of SAW was investigated by the Montgomery County Police for
inciting the stated bomb threat.

In the US and Britain, there is a campaign to smear anybody who tries to describe the plight of
the Palestinian people. It is an attempt to intimidate and silence – and to a large degree, it
works. There is nobody these self-appointed spokesmen for Israel will not attack as
anti-Jewish: liberal Jews, rabbis, even Holocaust survivors.

My own case isn't especially important, but it illustrates how the wider process of
intimidation works. I have worked undercover at both the Finsbury Park mosque and among
neo-Nazi Holocaust deniers to expose the Jew-hatred there; when I went on the Islam Channel to
challenge the anti-Semitism of Islamists, I received a rash of death threats calling me "a
Jew-lover", "a Zionist-homo pig" and more.

Ah, but wait. I have also reported from Gaza and the West Bank. Last week, I wrote an article
that described how untreated sewage was being pumped from illegal Israeli settlements on to
Palestinian land, contaminating their reservoirs. This isn't controversial. It has been
documented by Friends of the Earth, and I have seen it with my own eyes.

Dozens of illegal immigrants have been found working with patients in

bypass NHS employment checks.

When they were finally uncovered by NHS officials and reported to the
Home Office for possible deportation, most disappeared.

The embarrassing revelation comes almost a year after Prime Minister
Gordon Brown pledged stringent vetting of overseas medics when three
Muslim doctors were charged with attempted car-bomb attacks in London
and Glasgow.

Police bid to tackle Islamophobia

Scotland's first Muslim Police Association is being created in an attempt to encourage more
Muslims to join and stay in the force.

Strathclyde Police hopes the group will also help tackle Islamophobia and improve understanding
of Islam.

Pc Amar Shakoor, who was Scotland's first Muslim officer, said negativity had recently been
directed towards the Muslim community.

He said the association hoped to put Islam in a more positive light.

"We want to highlight some of the positive things Islam can provide to the communities and not
just the police services," he said.

According to Pc Shakoor, since the 9/11 World Trade Centre Attack, London tube bombings and
Glasgow Airport attempted bombings, Muslims have faced suspicion and increasing scrutiny.

He said links were now more important than ever and one of the best ways to do this was to
recruit more Muslim officers.
