Household bills have soared by £27 a week in just a year, it was
claimed last night.

Increases in food, housing, transport and taxes have easily
outstripped pay rises and left many families struggling.

The figures, in a Tory report, piled more pressure on Gordon Brown.

They came as business leaders warned that economic growth is set to
slow, hitting Government finances.

The Confederation of British Industry downgraded its growth estimates
to just 1.8 per cent for 2008, a drop from 3.1 per cent in 2007 and
well below Government forecasts.

While Ministers say inflation is running at two per cent a year, the
Tories said that for most families the real rise in the cost of living
is far more.

The party's dossier said gas and fuel prices have gone up ten per cent
in the last month alone and the price of everyday staples is soaring.

Since Mr Brown took over as Prime Minister nine months ago, the price
of butter is up 37 per cent, a dozen eggs up 34 per cent and a loaf of
bread up 28 per cent. The price of petrol has risen eight per cent in
the same period.

STATE schools should be forced to open their doors to Islamic
preachers teaching the Koran, the largest classroom union demanded
yesterday.

The National Union of Teachers' conference also said existing
religious schools - almost all of them Christian - should have to
admit pupils from other faiths.

The union's general secretary Steve Sinnott said that allowing Muslim
imams to preach in schools would be a way to reunite divided
communities.

Despite the implication of what “Russian roulette” entails—a fool’s game of chance with
death—there is nothing suicidal about what the ruling elite in Russia is planning. No better
proof exists than the election of Dmitry Medvedev as president.

Long considered to be Vladimir Putin’s protégé, Medvedev secured over 70%% of the vote March 2.
He has vowed to continue with “the Putin Plan” which simply means a tough stance when dealing
with western/Zionist interests that want to bring Russia under the thumb of the New World Order.

Following the election, Medvedev said his policies would be “a direct continuation of that path
which was carried out and is being carried out by President Putin.”

There were protests by disgruntled candidates and groups long alleged to be creatures of
western intelligence agencies aligned with or working for the U.S., Britain, Israel’s Mossad or
all three. But the general mood in Russia is one of victory and confidence.

Within minutes of the announcement that Medvedev was the projected winner, large groups of
Russians marched through Moscow toward the U.S. Embassy to criticize American policies in
Kosovo, Iraq and the Muslim world.

regardless of how the vote goes and the moral implications,no one is going
to stop it for very long.What is needed are very strong controls as to its
