You are actually describing the process of self realization, in a
'romantic' style of explanation.
To be 'as one' has always been reality. 'Not to be' is the illusion,
and why their is such 'apparent ' heart break.
The heart does'nt break (romantic view), but 'breaks out'.Letting go
of illusions is painful, not because of what we think we are losing,
but what we 'know' exists, but are not yet conscious. We 'thought' we
knew.
This applies to all ideologies, philosophies and goals of any
description.
No, one doesnt have to be alone, and yes it is stimulating and
fulfilling participating in day to day life. It is the expectation
(mental projection) that is the 'devil' in the woodpile.
